Hi, I want to be able to send files to a device over WiFi but there are quite a few sub folders in the files i want to send over. Is it possible to send over all of the files included in the sub folders and the folder structure also? thanks Josh.
After rebooting device and opening application that uses certificate installed through other profile it asks for credential storage password. If I press cancel, it will ask to allow certificate after some while. If device is rebooted and left alone for a minute or two, it works just fine. Application is using certificates and Authentication profile is set. Everything also works if PIN to unlock is added. It looks like SOTI is starting some process that allows access to keystore (only my guess). Is it possible to enable it manually, startup or through script? One solution was to include a scripted delay when opening app from lockdown, but this seems to not be the best solution, because time it takes to set everything up differs and we would like to achieve the best startup without 3-5 min delay, if possible.
Hi, I'm a newcomer to mobicontrol and APK packaging. A supplier has given us an APK file, but there is a requirement to set a specific URL for the App when it is installed, and the supplier is reluctant to add the URL as part of the APK without additional cost (big surprise). Apparently the preferences for the app are stored in "DefaultSharedPreferences", and the preference is called "connection_url" We use MobiControl - Package Studio to create the package from the APK. Can someone let me know how I would use this program to set the desired preference at the time of installation please? The help file doesn't help in this regard. Many thanks Mark
How to enable developer mode on AE managed devices? Our devices is Zebra TC25. I found here in forum, that it is possible via integration of SOTI to MX layer. But appreciate if someone can share step by step on how to do it. Thanks
We are using some Zebra RF guns in our warehouse. Per a recommendation from Cisco we have turned off Fast Transition on the wireless network, which basically means that the clients stay connected longer. We would like to see if there is anything we can set in Soti to force the client to roam when it reaches a signal threshold.
Mobicontrol: 13.3 Devices: Panasonic FZ-A2 Android: 6.0.1 Tried to send both (through SOTI-script): writesecuresetting –sys screen_brightness 200 writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 60000 But to no avail (I used 'watchsettings on' to know the setting, this worked fine)

Hi We want to put some preconfigured website links on the desktop of our Samsung Android Enterprise devices. Is it possible to put those websites on the screen, or can we at least manage chrome bookmarks?
Hello, I created a profile with StageNow importing some PersonalDictionary items to the device. I tested the profile by using the StageNow App and the entries are present on the device. So I created a package for the device with the exported MDM XML file and a Post-Install script running "execute_shell mxconfig /sdcard/import.xml" The content of the XML is: <wap-provisioningdoc> <characteristicversion="6.3"type="PersonalDictionary"> <parmname="Action"value="3" /> <parmname="UseCurrentLocale"value="0" /> <parmname="Locale"value="de" /> </characteristic> <characteristicversion="6.3"type="PersonalDictionary"> <parmname="Action"value="1" /> <parmname="UseCurrentLocale"value="0" /> <parmname="Locale"value="de" /> <parmname="AddWord"value="umpunktion" /> <parmname="Shortcut"value="up" /> </characteristic> <characteristicversion="6.3"type="PersonalDictionary"> <parmname="Action"value="1" /> <parmname="UseCurrentLocale"value="0" /> <parmname="Locale"value="de" /> <parmname="AddWord"value="links nach rechts" /> <parmname="Shortcut"value="lr" /> </characteristic> </wap-provisioningdoc> But it doesn't work. The package was successfully installed on the device, but the entries are missing. Device Zebra TC51-HC with the latest Android 7.1.2 and Soti agent 13.6. Any suggestions how to import the words and shortcuts using the xml file? best regards Oliver
Hello, We set the public HTTPS connection with our wildcard certificate for our domain. The 5494 and 443 ports are redirected to our deployment server in a public subdomain. Now we can't enroll new devices. Have we to import this certificate in our deploy server and regenerate the deployment server certificates?
First off my ultimate intentions is to have one barcode that loads all Zebra devices. Doesn't matter if it is a ET50, TC70X, or a TC50. With that in mind I have setup the add rule to drop all devices into a Stage folder. My goal is to setup a device relocation based on the device model. Unfortunately IP and Custom Data are the only option to trigger relocation rules (Soti PLEASE make this more flexible in future!). I could use the Custom Data, but the only way to fill a custom data feild is through an INI or XML file off of the device (again FLEXIBILITY please...). So at this point i'm thinking a file sync rule with a custom script post file sync that will take the %MODEL% and write it to an ini file on the android device. Then I can tie the custom attribute to that file and pull back what was written into that ini. FYI - I have this working on WinMobile devices since there are ini files built in that include the device model. I am very weak at writing soti scripts and am wondering if i'm on the right track before I spend a bunch of time writing the script. Is there an easier way? Will this work at all?
Dear All, we want to user two factor Authentication on our Mobile devices . we have MDM 14 and samsung devices . can any one suggest any solution
Hello, is it possible to install/configure some form of distribution point/server where devices can download files, device agents etc. from a local machine in the network? I keep having bandwith problems when trying to update the device agents on a couple number of devices which are connected to my MobiControl installation in our head office. Sometimes I get lucky and the agent gets pushed to the device and installed successfully but most of the time it seems like packet loss is causing the agent download to fail. The devices are ZEBRA MK4000 running Windows/CE 5.0 | Device Agent: 14.1.8.1070 MobiControl Version: 14.2.1.4394
