I am attempting to filter the app assignment of some social media apps to specific users across multiple departments. When I set a 'User Group Target' in the assignment page to 'Include IdP Group Name = Social Media' every device is excluded from the assignment. I am no longer sure I understand what this feature does because every possible combination of properties I've tried would fully exclude all devices. The devices are associated and enrolled with user authentication and do show the correct 'Member Of' groups in the User details panel of the device. Is there a way to filter policy assignment using Identity groups instead of creating a new virtual group for every department or doing device specific assignments?
Hello. I have some Samsung Galaxy tablets that were unenrolled from SOTI in the past because they were not being used by our company. We have found a use for these and re-enrolled them back into SOTI. When we go to assign the profile, we have them checked but the tablets have not received the profile yet. These are android plus devices and the profile we are wanting to assign is also android plus configuration. Could someone please help me figure this one out? are the devices too old or not compatible anymore? Is there an issue with using devices that were previously enrolled, unenrolled and factory wiped and enrolled again? all help is greatly appreciated. \
I know this may have been answered somewhere else but from what I have seen, it doesn't answer my question 100%. I have a non-production lockdown group that I need to test by assigning a package to that group before I assign it to my lockdown production group. Whenever you update your package, you need to assign it to the lockdown group. Now, let me just say, using MobiControl is fairly new to me. There are a few things I can do but this is not one of them. I would appreciate any help with this.
Hi, since the last MobiControl update, v14.3.4 Build 1087 , i cant edit or assign current/new profiles to devices. When i click in a current profile edit, the popup shows "add profile" with empty data. When i want to assign a existing profile the following error occurs: And in the Header is something missing
I connected my android plus devices to the SOTI Mobicontrol and my devices are sowing in the Mobicontroldashboard. I can do some simple actions like "Send a message", "Lock" on my devices using Mobicontrol. Now i want to send some configurations like SOTI Surf, Lock Down and some apk files (using package) to the devices. For this i created a profile and set all my configurations and set my package in this profile. But when i try to assign this package to my device , these configurations or packages doesn't get reflected in the devices. Also the dashboard shows that "no devices assigned".i am getting no error message. Screenshots attached. Can you please help me to resolve this issue ? PS: I have disabled my firewall to make sure no port is blocking.
The scenario is duplicating a folder, including all currently applied Profiles & Rules. in order to be able to test out a particular change on a subset of device. I understand this is somewhat possible today by manually assigning the same profiles from the original folder to the new test folder but is there a more automatic way to handle this? Is there otherwise a better method for establishing test groups of devices?
There are seemingly twice as many Device Properties under the Filter Criteria options for Virtual Groups as there are under Profile Assignments. Why is there a disparity between the two? If there was a use case to build out support for a property value in one, then wouldn't the same use case inherently exist in the other? OEMVersion was only just added to the Profile Assignment options in a recent maintenance build for 13.3 despite it being an option for Virtual Groups for quite some time.
