Hello. I have some Samsung Galaxy tablets that were unenrolled from SOTI in the past because they were not being used by our company. We have found a use for these and re-enrolled them back into SOTI. When we go to assign the profile, we have them checked but the tablets have not received the profile yet.

These are android plus devices and the profile we are wanting to assign is also android plus configuration.

Could someone please help me figure this one out? are the devices too old or not compatible anymore? Is there an issue with using devices that were previously enrolled, unenrolled and factory wiped and enrolled again? all help is greatly appreciated.

There is gradual terminology drift in the web-console user-interface and documentations for the more recent versions of MobiControl.  The legacy OEM-specific Android+ devices are now referred to as "Classics" in "Android Plus" platform, while the term "Android Plus" by default refers to Android-Enterprise is MOST cases.

The likely reason for your problem is that your devices had been enrolled as legacy OEM specific Android+ devices, but the profiles you created were for Android Plus (Android-Enterprise). devices.  If so, just re-create your Android Plus profile again and choose the device-type "classic".  If such option is missing, you have to configure "Android Management" parameter in Global-Settings tab of the web-console to include such device-type support, as the default setting for recent v15.x implementation  is "Android Enterprise Only".

From the screenshots it does appear to be a Classic profile type already, which should match the management type the devices are enrolled with. Do you have a Filter Criteria applied to the Profile which may prevent these devices from installing it? One other possibility is that you have Search Sync integrity issues at the moment which could lead to the inventory view not showing the true live information.

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for your post!

Can you confirm the method the devices were enrolled with prior and currently?
