Hello i am trying to utilize speed control on a tablet, the lockdown mode is working correctly but i want the speed control to active and allow 3 apps to run while it is active. main one is google maps but the two others need to be active in the background or able to be switched to. when the speed control activates it only shows google maps, there is no option for me to move to the other apps. does anyone know if i need to add these 2 extra apps to the template in order for them to work during speed control. below is the configuration of the speed control and im using the default dynamic template Thanks Noah
Hi all, When I create new Configuration at Profiles, I have all different kind of options. Almost all of the device functionalities can be adjusted, but I cant find anything regarding NFC. I want to enable NFC all the time. Disabling it should not be allowed. I am using a worked managed Android device. Thanks in advance Ümmet
All of a sudden, the profiles list is empty in the soti webconsole. Colleagues in the same group can still see them. I've already tried to reset the console (thought there could be some hidden filter) but still nothing. The funny thing is, I've created the profiles and now suddenly I' can't (or may not) see them anymore. Checked my permissions => still admin. Anyone an idea? Greetings,Karel.

Hello. I have some Samsung Galaxy tablets that were unenrolled from SOTI in the past because they were not being used by our company. We have found a use for these and re-enrolled them back into SOTI. When we go to assign the profile, we have them checked but the tablets have not received the profile yet. These are android plus devices and the profile we are wanting to assign is also android plus configuration. Could someone please help me figure this one out? are the devices too old or not compatible anymore? Is there an issue with using devices that were previously enrolled, unenrolled and factory wiped and enrolled again? all help is greatly appreciated. \
Hello, I would like to know how would you prevent users from deleting SOTI profiles in Apple devices? This is in an effort to avoid device unenrollment. Kind regards, Kevin O.
Hello Evreyone , I have an issue with some CK65 scanner that they are not able to install the lockdown profile and I'm getting this error message : Profile "CK65_Lockdown" version 11 failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed. OS Version: 10 Device Kind: Android Plus OEM Version: 90.00.08-(0203) Any one know how to solve this issue please ?
Good Morning, Our company is in the process of upgrading our employee's devices. The current tablets we use are the Samsung SMT387 & M-T378. We enroll them with Android Plus and push out a profile with Kiosk screen and several packaged APK's for the approved apps. We recently ordered the Samsung A7 lite devices SM-T227U. These come with Android 11 out of the box. I was able to enroll the device with Android Plus. When I went to push our test profile (Exact clone of Production Profile) the entire profile failed. All my packages failed to install with the message being "Failed to Install (Incompatible Platform)". Is there something different I will need to do with the enrollment to get these new Android 11 devices to work with our current profile? MobiControl version: 14.4.6.1047 Agent Version: 14.1.4.1010
New to MobiControl v15, I inherited v7 but hardly ever had to touch it. I have new TC75x manual Wifi setup initially and MobiControl Agent installed on it. I need to be able to change the Wifi settings for a given SSID every 90 days. I assumed I could do it through a Profile but after researching I'm lost.
Hi, By default, only the MobiControl Administrators group has Read and Write permissions on all profiles. Is there a simple way to give MobiControl Technicians group Read and Write permission without editing all 100+ profiles we have? We run a version 14.4.9.1034 Thank you for the tips!
We are currently trying to automate the release process using the MobiControl API and we've encountered an issue where the Configurations in a Profile get lost when a new Profile Version is created via MobiControl/api/profiles/{referenceId}/packages Our automation process is roughly like this: Get a token.Send POST to MobiControl/api/tokenThis works. Upload a new version of our appSend POST to MobiControl/api/packagesThis works. Retrieve the Packages list for the Profile we want to updateSend GET to MobiControl/api/profiles/{$profileReferenceId}/packagesThis works. Update the Profile, using the list from the step before and updating our app version number to the latest but leaving other packages as isSend PUT to MobiControl/api/profiles/{$profileReferenceId}/packagesThis works BUT we cannot set the Profile Configurations and they do not seem to get copied like when we do this manually in MobiControl WebConsole by doing Edit on a Profile. Assign the Profile to a Device Group to push out the latest version of the appSend PUT to MobiControl/api/profiles/{$profileReferenceId}/assignment So this leaves us with some questions: - Is this a bug where the Profile Configurations don't get copied over to a new Version when using the API? - Is there any way to set the Profile Configurations using the API? I used stage now to create an XML file that changes the screen timeout on the devices (Zebra TC21), the test code worked when scanned by the device, but when I used the XML file to create a package using Package Studio and added it to a profile in SOTI, that didn't work. I used a post-install script when creating the package. And by the way, the profile installed the XML file on the device's SDcard but still looks like it did not execute itself. Your help would be very much appreciated. Thank you,
I am in the process of testing v15.3 before in our test environments. One thing that I noticed as a change from my v14.1 environment is that when you assign a profile you no longer have the ability to set the option to have the application remain on the device after a Revoke of the profile. This option has been important in the upgrade of the SOTI agent and VPN clients as I did not have to worry whether any configurations would be lost on upgrade or in the case of the VPN, that the VPN got deleted if profile was accidently revoked. Am I missing something? Has this functionality just been moved or has it been completely removed? Thanks, Jim
Hi, I am wondering if there is any way I can make my profile select the latest package by itself and run it? Meaning, I will update the newer version of the package, and I'm hoping that the profiles which had that package will change to the latest version without me manually change every profile? Thanks
Is there an API that I can use to view what groups have rights to a profile and also update the security rights? I have a need to add a new user group and need to add it to 700+ profiles. Would really like not to have to touch each profile to update the permissions.
