I don't know what requirement(s) made you choose to use the tempate group "MobiControl Technicians"?  

If there is really a need to use something other than "MobiControl Administrator", I would consider adding a customed user group, and use "MobiControl Technicans" or its variation as a base to fine tune various permissions.  Then assign my own RESTRICTED administrator to use this newly created customized user group.

It's true that you still need to manually modify the permissions of your tens of profile for this new customized user group.  However, you will likely not need to go through the same painful experience again with so many profiles when you later find that the DEFAULT "MobiControl Technicians" does not fit your new global/per-group permission requirements.

I believe there isn't a bulk method to update 100+ profiles easily with new User Permissions, you would need to action this manually. However, I do suggest you raise a Feature Request via support.eu@soti.net for a potential future feature via our UI or API for example.
