Hello! Following scenario: 2 Management Servers &1 ERG server all in the same network (without firewalls between) The ERG exe file is being downloaded from web console and executed on erg server. When installing the ERG exe file, the FQDN of the Management Server must be entered. When entering the FQDN of MgmtSrv1, the prompt "Installation successful" appears and the ERG server is listed in the servers list on the web console. But when entering the FQDN of MgmtSrv2, nothing happens. No prompt and no appearance of the server in the servers list. Why? Is there an authentication issue with the XAS certificate generated when initially downloading the installation file? We are planning to load balance our Management Servers (with hardware load balancer in front). But now I am afraid the traffic from ERG servers may fail.
Hi We are currently looking into getting SOTI Hub deploy as we would need some .dox and .pdf files deployed to some Android phones. I have been reading that you would either use webdav or sharepoint 2013 for deploying content. Regarding sharepoint 2013 i have some questions. 1.Would we need to deploy ERG? 2.Can it be installed on the same server as mobicontrol ? We would just need our content to be deployed without any auth from the end-users to the devices as some if them is in lockdown mode. 3. Webdav - Can this be installed on the same server? and do we need ERG for this?
Hi, We have followed the instructions for the ERG. Part of which we have bound the ERG to a new port within IIS. When installing the Soti Apps Server Extension it asks for a port. If I enter the port of the ERG, the port is already in use. The Soti Apps Servers installation states the following in relation to the port. "The port that ERG runs on. Devices connect to the ERG using this port. Using a dedicated port is recommended." Does it actually need to be the same port or a dedicated port? Thanks
Hi,Anyone here experienced implementing ERG for SOTI Surf? I already installed SOTI SurfERG-app, I already configured it to my Mobicontrol Server. When I open SOTI Surf from device, it communicates with ERG server via the specific port I specify, I verified it using wireshark packet tracer. But whenever I access websites or IPs from browser, it doesnt pass its traffic to ERG Server, device communicates directly without ERG in between. If I'm not mistaken, purpose of ERG for SOTI Surf is to relay all HTTP/HTTPS traffic from device to target destination and redirect it back. Thanks
Hi,Is it possible to setup MCserver and ERG on same host?
Hello. We are currently running ERG servers for our MS Exchange/ActiveSync communication. Now we would like to implement Soti Surf. SOTI recommends using an ERG server for this scenario. Now I have the following questions: - Can we use our existing Exchange-ERG-servers for the Soti Surf implementation? - Can Soti Apps Server and ERG run on the same machine? Thank you for a short reply Simon
