Customers created a QR code enrollment and sent them to the end user. They then requested the user to enroll the device but they reported that the usercan't scan the QR code. The user said that after tapping the welcome screens 7 times, the QR Code screen is not showing up on the device itself. Details of the device are below:Make and Model: Zebra MC9300 Android version: 10 MobiControl version: 2024.1.2 The customer normally deliver one brand new Zebra MC9300 together with the SOTI enrollment QR code to the end user. User will then open the box, scan the QR code and the device will be enrolled automatically. I already advised the customer to refer to the article below from Zebra but they said the users are not technical hence they have difficulty connecting to Wi Fi or Internet by themselves. https://supportcommunity.zebra.com/s/article/SPR-40429-PS20-BASE-Non-Camera-SKU-and-QR-Enrollment-method-with-MX-10?language=en_US That's the reason why they must use QR code to enroll the device. Can someone assist me if there is still a way to enroll the device using QR Code? Is there something that needs to be enabled from Zebra?
Hello, Currently we try to enroll Samsung tablets in SOTI after a very good experience with Honeywell CT60 devices knowing almost nothing about the "Samsung world".Now, after some days we are still struggling to find a "fast and clean" solution to stage/provision these devices. The first surprise was the "SOTI MobiControl Stage Programmer" where on the WiFi options we had only OPEN/WEP/WPA association modes without the posibility to chose 802.1x EAP (required in our environment)...so a no go scenario? After this we've tried to use the "afw#mobicontrol" method which has worked but based on the agent type (Agent Version 14.5.3.1017) with limited functionalities (Supported APIs Remote View, Work Managed Device)I would really appreciate from somebody with a know-how experience a "little help". Thanks!
Hello, everyone, In the factory that I work we have pending to carry out an update of a sw that uses the TC51 / 52 terminals that we have installed. And as a result of how the factory is distributed, the following problem arises, I have to generate a QR code that helps me create an example number: 3, and then from SOTI use a custom data that looks at that number to activate a relocation rule, but I totally don't know how this QR code can be created, I have tried StageNow but I can't. I don't know if anyone has had a similar situation or if they could give me any advice. I am new to this job and my knowledge of this world is limited. Thank you all very much in advance. All the best.
I have seen previous posts alluding to how it is possible, using Stage Programmer, to specify the agent version when enrolling a device int Android Enterprise. I have Stage Programmer on m phone and do not see where this can be specified. I see WiFi Configuraiton Device Details Mobicontrol Enrollment details but that is all. I am able to open the camera from the activation screen, scan the QR code, and get the device enrolled but at no point during this process am I given a chance to select a version, I get whatever is the latest. From what I can see there is zero difference between using the QR code and the affw#mobicontrol method other than I save some typing I don't know if it matters but I am using Mobicontrol Cloud and I do't seem to be able to change the agent version there like I can when I enroll in Android Plus-- there I can decide to inject a new agent into my system or leave it set to some previous version, I dont' seem to have that option for Enterprise. If it matters I am using Samsung Galaxy tablet devices . I searched the forum and have read comments where "this has been asked and answered many times before" yet I cannot find the answer itself so I apologize if this seems a bother. The guy at SOTI couldn't answer me today and I am still waiting for his email with the instructions so all I have left is this forum. Many thanks, Matt
