We have approx 1700 devices in our deployment, and almost all are always showing as offline.  I am wanting to configure a script to run in our out of contact policy to activate the connection again / to try and keep it online.

The inbuilt script in SOTI seems ot be for an old android version, most of our devices are Android 7/8/9 is there a script I can use?

Hi Chris,

Try to send the following script to your Samsung devices:

What device model(s)?

What management style (Work Managed-AEDO, Work Profile, DA)?

Do you have Feature Control enabled with Doze Mode disabled?

Do you have the connection type set to persistent?

Device Models are: Samsung J5 / J6 / A20e / A40 / S10 / Tab S4.

They are all work managed devices, there is a feature control on with Doze mode disabled, and the connection type is set to persistent.

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for requesting a response from SOTI Support Staff!

The reasons, Android devices always showing as offline but they are connected to the server is due to search issue or thread count.

1. Look for MobiControl Search Sync Interval and increase the integrity to 100%| Completed

2. Please try increasing CPU/threads on the MobiControl Administration Utility > Deployment Server on MobiControl server.

One of these methods should actually help you in getting all the devices online.

Regards,
