Hello

Can you help me.

My company has developed a delivery app deployed oncustomer sites with SOTI.

Our application is not able to "dicuss" with Waze to send a delivery adress that WAZE must open to provide the best way to driver.

Question : is there any sandbox feature implemented in SOTI MC ? If yes can I disable this feature ?

Thx.

Steve.

Yes. No problem at all when SOTI is not installed.

Please elaborate what you mean by your app "discussing" with Waze to send a delivery address?

MobiControl cannot dynamically enforce sandbox on any individual app.  Android uses directory/file access permissions in the file-system to create lightwieight sandbox for each normal app, though kernal and system modules normally have permissions to access all normal apps.  MobiControl device agent itself cannot change the permissions of any directory/file in the file system.  So, I believe the chance of your problem being related to sandboxing is extremely slim.

Is MobiControl lockdown-menu/kiosk-mode used in your devices?  If so, try to see if the "disuss" operation works if lockdown/kiosk is off.  If so,  you likely have some app/service module(s) not runnable to support the communication required.  In such case, you need to find out the bundle-iD of the app/service module(s)  concerned, and have its/their bundle-ID added to the application-run-control whitelist to ensure normal operation when kisok/lockdown is on.

Hi

No lock down used

I jus tested with my soti cloud, same app, same device... It works.

so issue seems due to customer infra or specific parameter he has activated in in SOTI ONPREMISE.

I'll recheck configuration with him.

I keep you posted.

steve.
