Uninstall package on AE COPE device

Hi,

I have lot of issuess with COPE devices :( 

One of the most important is that we cant uninstall custom app (using package and profile for deploy it).

We try:

- Revoke profile (app still there)

- Send script with uninstall process (nothing happens)

- No option from web interface

- Make a SotiMobicontrol Package with apk and a pre-install script with uninstall command

All work fine on managed devices, but on COPE.....

I think this issue may be related to this behaviour: you can use filesync rule to deploy .jpg on %sdcard%, but when you send script to define wallpaper dont find anything on %sdcard%, cause first one deploy file on work profile, and second one search on personal profile.

Seems like scripts applies only to personal data, profiles to work profile, its  frustrating.

Thank you for posting in SOTI Central.

Could you create a list of reproduction steps for me and I will attempt to reproduce the issue you're facing? Then I will investigate how we can move forward with the issue at hand.

Hi,

Steps are simple:

1- Enroll new COPE device (soti mobicontrol 15.2! 15.3 has different COPE settings)

2- upload apk to mobicontrol packages

3- create a new profile with just that package and assign it to you device

If Android is <11:

- Silent install of app

If Android is =11:

- User needs to accept new installation (and if the user did not give notification permissions before upgrading to android 11, nothing will be displayed and he will not be able to install it...)

4- Try to uninstall that app

Just that. You cant remove that app :(

But doens matter, now we are migrating all users to managed device without any profile. The problem was with COPE Device , we had so many issues that we decided to stop and start again (150 factory resets...)

We know that Mobicontrol 15.3 has improvements for Corporte Personal, but we dont want surprises next year with Android 12 :)
