iOS 12 Devices Fail to Enroll with error Profile Installation failed. A network error occurred.

Hello,

Devices running the iOS 12 beta are not able to enroll in soti via DEP or the enrollment URL. They receive the error " Profile Installation failed. A network error occurred."

iOS devices that were previously enrolled that were upgraded to iOS 12 do not check into Soti unless the mobicontrol app is opened.

I never get a SSL error but I see one is referenced in the article https://discussions.soti.net/kb/ios-12-devices-fail-to-enroll-with-error-an-ssl-error-has-occurred-and-a-secure-connection-to-the-server-cannot-be-made 

Could this be related to the SSL error?

Hi Furqan,

Yes, you are correct that this is most likely the same situation outlined in the article below.  It affects new and existing iOS 12 device connectivity.

Hopefully you have not updated all of your iOS devices yet as we do not have an ETA for MobiControl 14.1.8. where the resolution to this is available, as outlined in the article.
