Without the wipeapplication command for Android Enterprise,  the same effect can in principle be achieved by uninstalling the app of interest followed by re-deploying the app back onto the device.  The only difference is that unnecessary data network traffic is needed to re-download the apk installation file again to the device for installation, unless the app has previously been sent to the device in .pcg package with persistence option enabled.
