Any issues with SOTI Mobicontrol 15.3 after upgrade?

Hello! we plan to upgrade Mobicontrol 15.1 to version 15.3 and want to know if someone did encounter any issues with the latest version during the update and after the update? Are there some known issues or bugs in the MC 15.3 version? I would appreciate any answer.

Thanks! Vasa

Hi,

when you Upgrade use 15.3.1 there are many Bugs Fixed.

Also note that between 15.1 and 15.3.1 are many Layouts are changing.

Have a Look on the Requirements of SQL Server 2016/ 2017 CU Level and the Supported Windows Server OS Version.

I have updated the Test Lab to 15.3.1 and it is working well with Andriod Devices.

Yeah, we had an issue where our rules were wiped out, causing many of our devices to drop applications from our Google Play store. SOTI attempted to fix it via a script, but it was unsuccessful. We had to restore to an older version.

Hello Vasa_G,

Thank you for requesting a response from SOTI Support Staff.

I would suggest reviewing our Release Notes link for our current MobiControl release versions, changes we have made and fixes we have implemented - https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/release-notes/

With every new release our team is working hard at improving our MobiControl product

While do always suggest to upgrade to the latest version when possible.

If you're interested in only 15.3 I would suggest the latest maintenance release of v15.3.3 as this would have addressed any issues prior.
When thinking of upgrading it's suggested to first review our help documents to review the system requirements for the upgrade -

15.3 - Welcome to SOTI MobiControl Help

System Requirements

Upgrading SOTI MobiControl

And of course make sure to perform backups and database backups prior to any changes.
Feel free to open a Soti Support case via Support@soti.net and have one of our SOTI Support agents available when you perform an upgrade.

I hope you find this information helpful

Hi,

after a Long testing Period from Version 15.3.3 i have now Upgraded the Live System to 15.3.3.

I had there no issues after the Upgrade.

Currently i am Preparing the Test System to the Requirements for the Version 15.4.2 (May relased soon)

That Includes Upgrade from Windows Server 2016 -> 2019 / Upgrade SQL Server from 2017 -> 2019 -> that is done with Version 15.3.3 on test System now and all is running well.

Add the OpenJDK 11 to the System Path when 15.4.2 is relased
