How to enroll device in "Device Owner" mode?

Hi everybody!

At the moment I am testing around with the possibilities of Android Enterprise.

I just successfully enrolled a Samsung device with Android Enterprise and "Work Profile" mode.

How can I enroll such a device in AE Device Owner mode?

I factory resetted the device. And what now? :)

I think I can answer the question by myself after consulting the SOTI documentation:

You must download the Android Enterprise device agent during the initial device setup to activate the device as a work managed device. If the device agent is downloaded after the device setup is complete, the device can only be activated as a work profile or you must factory reset the device and begin again.

 Download and install the Android Enterprise device agent on the device.

    • Use the SOTI MobiControl Stage Programmer app (available on the Google Play store) to provision the device via NFC bump or QR code
    • Add a Google account that is managed by your company in the initial Device Setup Wizard
    • Enter the SOTI EMM token identifier (afw#mobicontrol) when prompted to add a Google account

You are pretty much there! 

If you want to be able to leverage Managed Play and control which Play Store applications are installed on the device then you're also going to want to setup an Android Enterprise binding to bind your instance to a Managed Play account. The Enrollment rule will also need to be updated to not skip Google account during enrollment.
