No Honor devices are running Google Android OS, nor certified as Android-Enterprise Recommended (AER) device.  Their O/S may have some functions resembling Android, and it might be possible to enroll some of their device models using Android Enterprise device agent via ADB port, but each Android MDM policy to be used has to be tested for each patched firmware version because their device firmware has not gone through stringent AE certification process required by Google.

As far as I know,  there is currently no development effort spent on building AE plug-in for any Honor devices.

For my corporate customers, I usually advise them to BORROW a new device  model to do tests on compatibility or MiSSION-CRITICAL features (e.g. full remote-control requiring a plug-in) BEFORE considering buying any in mass scale for production.

Can't agree fully to this.

Don't buy something you don't know it will work properly later (so as Raymond says: borrow one before and test it out or purchase maximum 1 device and test it).

But which tablet did you bought exactly? Was it Honor Pad X9a?
This one would be an AER device: https://androidenterprisepartners.withgoogle.com/devices/

And in this case it is official AER, different from what Raymond said here.

But there's yet no plugin for Honor from Soti side, so i highly recommend to open a support case with Soti.
But i need to mention, to provide a plugin from Soti side also requires the manufacturer to corporate (sign the plugin). If Honor is not willing to do so, Honor may need to provide a different way (grant permissions to the agent via oem config as Motorola does for example). But again this is also something to be done by Honor together with Soti.

So, finally please reach out to Soti and buy devices only when all of this stuff was clarified and workin next time.
