Hello everyone,

we are using SOTI MobiControl version 2025.1.2.1007 and would like to remove the search bar, as it interferes with the display of certain websites and applications.

Does anyone have experience or approaches on how to hide or disable the search bar?
Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Do you mean the black navigation bar at the bottom of the screen?

If you are using a lockdown profile, select "Native" option in the lockdown profile you can enable "" which disables the navigation buttons.

If the device is not in kiosk mode I don't believe this is possible, I've had a look through KSP to see if there's an option for OEM specific devices but this doesnt seem to be the case.

Hi Darius,

Sorry for the imprecision, I meant the magnifying glass icons.

Hi Fabian,

No worries at all!

What app are you using specifically?

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the replies. We currently use several websites and programs such as MS PowerApps and MS Teams.

Unfortunately, we only have Zebra devices in use and couldn't find any settings in the Zebra OEM.

You need to clarify what application you're in where you're seeing thees buttons. Is this in Surf? Chrome? Zebra Enterprise Browser? You have not provided enough information.

Hi Matt,
thanks a lot for your quick feedback as well.

Unfortunately, I can’t name a specific app, because the magnifying glass icons appear everywhere. This happens in Kiosk Mode, inside different apps, and even when opening website links. As soon as users zoom in via touchscreen, these icons show up automatically.

Our main issue occurs with a website shortcut in Kiosk Mode on our Zebra Android Enterprise devices. When employees zoom in, the icons overlap important buttons such as OK or Cancel, making them difficult to press on the touchscreen.

This leads to usability problems for our staff, especially when quick confirmation is required.
