MOBICONTROL V15.6.6 - How to disable developer option ?

Hello all,

we have a problem and we don't find a solution ..

We work with SOTI onPremise v15.6.6 and device are Zebra TC78 under android 13/14.

We need to install an application make by another company on devices.

App works fine with the sandbox -> environnement of test

App production is not working we receive a message -> device verification failed ...

Off course we write to the person who create this application for to know what does it mean but until now we don't have any information ...

 

But i find something strange, when we enroll the device we used adb for that:

  • adb install path
  • adb 

    shell dpm set-device-owner "net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork/net.soti.mobicontrol.admin.DeviceAdminAdapter"

  • type url for SOTI

if I turn OFF the developer option, open application we didn't receive any error message ...

 

It's the problem, how we can disable this proprety with SOTI ?

You can at least block developer options using a feature control profile.
Not sure if it will disable it when it was previously enabled.

But why are you using adb to enroll a phone instead of StageNow (or QR-Code, NFC, Zero-Touch), so developer option never needed?

We find a solution, but manually we need to apply this on 1000 devices

why we enroll the device like this ... when we receive these device society show this procedure for the device of test.

After we device to buy 1000 devices and society prepare the device like this .. when we receive the device we just need to scan the url into SOTI 

First application I receive who check this, and the apk we receive for acceptance didn't have this check :( ..

too much stress we need to go on PROD for first october or the country will be block

 

Could you describe the procedure with stage Now please ?

Based on my tests with Samsung and a few other device brands devices,  the previously enabled developer options can be subsequently blocked using related MobiControl feature-control profile policy.  I am not sure if this is universal for all Android-Enterprise certified device models.

we begin to make this manually i know 1000 devices it's too much but we ask some help to other team

in few hours it will be make

Now, we need for device who go on reparation or new device to change the procedure of enroll for to AVOID this again in the futur :)
