How can I disable location tracking for Android+ devices? I have a handful of BYOD Android users and I really have no need to track them. Thanks!

How are you currently forcing it?  You can "Enforce GPS Availability" in Feature Control.  You can "Enable Speed Controls" in Lockdown.  You can gather Location data via a Data Collection Rule.  If none of those apply, where/how are you tracking them?

Re-read your question and realized what you are looking for is a way to prevent the "Location" option from even being available (including tracking and history) on the device page, correct?

I'm not sure it's possible.  I think your only option is to disable location on the device.  Probably not an option on BYOD.  Probably need to open a support case to get the official answer.

On Android 4.x/5.x with some Android+ device agents, feature control policy do support enforcing GPS availability , but toggling the option off will not turn off the GPS hardware.  I don't think you cannot do anything in this case, except to disallow Mobicontrol administrator to access "location" services  for related device group on the web console with proper permission control.

On Android 6.x+,  device end-user can disable location permission for Mobicontrol agent in "Settings->App Manager", and thus disallow location services access by MobiControl device agent.  In your case, you just make sure you don't set "enforce GPS on" in feature control, and inform your BYOD user to turn off the MobiControl device agent permission for locatiion service.

If you use profile owner mode (BYOD) with Android Enterprise device agent,  MobiControl or EMM cannot enforce GPS availability.  However, for managed-device mode (non-BYOD) with Android Enterprise device agent, you have the option to "Allow user to configure" for location/GPS accuracy in the feature control payload.  This means that the device end-user can disable EMM from accessing location information.  The agent can access location information if the end-user toggle of  the option to allow other apps to use location information.  In such case, you might also consider  the approach of  app permissions of the device agent and "location service" permission for EMM administrators using MobiControl web-console.
