The "Scan for OS Updates" and "Update Linux OS" device actions are only supported at the moment on Ubuntu LTS. We will be expanding this support to other OSs in upcoming MobiControl releases.
The function of both device actions are as follows:
Scan for OS Updates - This will scan and then output results via the "Logs" section of the available updates.
Update Linux OS - Actioning the available updates via the above.
Think of the first as "apt update" and the second as "apt upgrade".
