I am looking for a method to ignore battery optimization for a specific app on Android Enterprise devices. The batteryoptimize command only seems to work on Samsung devices, and I need this to work for non-Samsung devices.
Does anybody know if I can use an intent for this purpose? If so, what intent URL do I use?
I am not aware of any intent that supports what you want.
The major problem is likely related to how the device firmware implement power management policies. In the device or brand of devices you are interested, if there is no MDM API or other means to exclude the device agent from being swapped/put-to-sleep by the kernel, there is basically no way to solve your problem. I am not sure if newer Android Kernel codes from Google will or already have this solved for all AE compliant devices. I guess not. So, until that is available, maybe you have to contact the technical support of your device brand of interest, and see if they have any workaround done/being done with Soti and/or other EMM vendor(s).
