Win/CE 5 VX6 cannot send data to server whats the problem?

After finally freeing up enough space on the VX6 device to get the agent installed the device still does not show up.  I can go into the configure menu then servers.  I select my server and hit test.  The connection box comes up with the server name then next line is Connected and final line is Cannot send data to server.  So it looks like it is connecting but not transferring data.  I have several Thor VM1  running CE6 that are connected to the same server and same port with no issues.  I am only having issues with all of the VX6.

So after a couple calls we were finally able to resolve this issue.  In the end there was a certificate issue on the server that was causing the VX6 devices to not connect.  after regenerating new certificates and creating a new agent we were able to get the VX6 to connect.  Thanks

Hi Tony,

Provided that this device was never enrolled on another MobiControl server and depending on the MobiControl version you are using, this may be related to the algorithm the MobiControl root certificate is signed with.  Most of the legacy windows devices do not support SHA256 algorithm. Depending on the OEM, some of the Windows legacy devices also require TLS 1.0 to be enabled on your MobiControl Server for communication.

Please contact SOTI Support at http://www.soti.net/services/support/supportcase/ so that we can have a look at your MobiControl server to get to the root cause of this issue.

Thanks

Hey Tony,

did you check if date/time/timezone on the device is the same you have on your server?

What version of MobiControl were you experiencing this with?

When you regenerated roots certs, did you end up changing the algorithm? (SHA2 to SHA1?)
