How can I retry the installation of a System Update Policy without revoking the entire profile?

Good Afternoon.

We have a system update policy in place on our Samsung devices. I have gone into the profile and extended the policy another 90 days. However, 76 devices are showing "Install failed"

Is there a way to retry this without revoking the entire profile? We use only 1 profile that includes a simple kiosk screen and our configurations.

You can try splitting the "system update policy" payload into a separate profile as follows:

1. Duplicate the profile and remove all payloads except the "system update policy" payload.  Deploy this new profile to the same targeted devices as in the original profile. The status of this new profile could likely be "failed".

2. Remove the "system update policy" payload in the original profile.  Save the change and deploy.

3. Revoke/Re-install the new profile  with only the 'system update policy" payload as desired.

That is what I would recommend as well. I personally do not typically put multiple payloads or configuration into the same Profile for this very reason. You have more granular control over the individual Profile installations by having them broken out.
