Android 11 - Enterprise enrollment does not complete

On the OOBE (out of box experience), we entered afw#mobicontrol

but are never prompted for our tenant code. 

Setup continued, which we skipped most of - afterwards it says "account action required" and it prompts to sign in with "Android Enterprise" entered in the email or phone field.  I cannot change "Android Enterprise" value.  

I have reset the device twice with same results.

Are you a device end-user or a MobiControl administrator?

What is the brand and model of your device?

Have you ever successfully enrolled any Android device onto any MobiControl server in  Android Enterprise managed-device (device-owner) mode?

- Administrator

- Lenovo Tab P11 (I wasn't aware I was buying a different tablet until too late)

- I believe so? We have 16 Lenovo Tab 11's adopted.  I can't confirm if it's "Managed-device (device-owner) mode" - but we have 100% control and it's company owned.  We have them very locked down.

Hi John,

Your other devices under control are in managed-device (also called device-owner) mode.

Similar device enrollment problem using hashtag approach seem to have been reported in many cases for Soti and other MDM solutions in the last 50 hours or so.  There might be some bugs or changes  in Google's backend.

For your current problematic Android 11 device,  could you please retry enrollment using QR-code generated with the free "MobiControl Stage" app running on a parent provisioning Android device?

1st, quick question - how do I respond without using the "answer" function?  I've used forums & managed them since 1998... and I can't figure this one out!

I restarted the device - it flashes the Mobi/Soti logo - but also says no connectivity with wireless.  Even though the wireless is fine after the startup process fails to Enterprise join.

I managed to find a MOBI Android agent download and trying that.

- it only joined with the agent mode = User

It looks like there's a work profile / user profile; so this is not what I would like to do.
