Device agent for Embedded Linux Devices

I have some armv7l embedded devices running Yocto Linux.  I tried to install the generic device agent for headless Linux but had no success.  Will this be supported or there are ways that I can get this going?  Have any of your tried this before?  Thanks.

Hi Carlson,

Thank you for posting in SOTI Central.

Have you tried downloading and using the latest Linux Agent via https://docs.soti.net/mobicontrolagentdownloads? Make sure to extract it and add your MCSetup.ini file (right-click Add Device Rule) and then run the installation bash file.

I have done all the steps including adding device rules and tried installing the latest agent from the download page (v15.1) and also from the package from device rules page (v15.3).  When I start the agent, it gives the following error:

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Hi Carlson,

Are you running the install.sh script as Root?

Yes I did as it stated to run as root on the script.  Thanks.

Hi Carlson,

For this, I suggest you raise a Support Case via support@soti.net / support.eu@soti.net. Make sure to make available/include the following information:

- Full Specification of the Embedded Linux Device

- Exact Linux Agent you've tried (Processor, Device with user interface, Agent version as outlined at soti.net/oem)

- /var/log/PkCtrlSv.log and the contents of /usr/opt/MobiControl/ (pdb.ini, MobiControl.log)

- >> appended log file while running the install.sh (e.g. install.sh >> output.log)

On top of the above, ideally we need SSH Root Access to an affected test device too.

If you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to reach out.

Regards,
