Notifications on Honeywell devices

Hi everyone,

We are using SOTI MobiControl with Zebra devices for quite a while, now we are testing some Honeywell devices.

After registration and pushing some apps and configs to the devices we end up with the following screen:

Here are my 2 questions:

How to disable the notification of the MobiControl Agent that is is running?

On Zebra devices this is not showing by default. Is there a way to create a configuration with Honeywell Enterprise Provisioner or is there a way to do it out of the box with MobiControl?

How to disable the silent notifications from the Android System (after pushing a certificate to the device)?

On Zebra devices there is a way to do it with StageNow (https://techdocs.zebra.com/stagenow/5-13/csp/ui/#network-monitored-message-enabledisable).

I dont want to disable notifications at all (for all or specific apps), just these two notifications. There is no information for the enduser, they will ask what that means and this is not helpful.

Hopefully someone can point me into the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Börge

Hi Börge,

with MobiControl Release 2024 you can push the Settings with the "Honeywell UEMConnect" directly to the Device when you configure a Profile.

Depends if you use the Device in a Kiosk Mode you can configure also the notifications or system informations on the device.

Also over the UEM App you can psuh the Configuration down to the devices.

or might in the Profile -> Securety -> Feature Control is an option  "Allow Sensitive Notifications" might solve your problem?

What firmware are you using for the Honeywell devices?

You can also block notifications for specific Package Names/ Bundle IDs with the "Disable Notifications For Packages" through UEMConnect.

I think blocking the complete Bundle ID is a bit to much.

It is the notification of the agent that it is running (in the background) which gives the enduser no information. Even if the user tries to access the MobiControl Agent it is not possible due to Lockdown.

Thank you Marcus for leading me in the right direction. I managed to disable the notifications on the lockscreen.

Regarding the firmware:

At the moment I have a ScanPal EDA52 which is running A11 (218.01.17.0261) at the moment.I think I will give it a try and update to Android 13 (222.01.01.0147 is avalable at Honeywell Software Listing | S&PS)

The other device is a ScanPal EDA56 which is running A12 (A12.11.12.0148). There should also be an update available as I have difficulties to get it registered into MobiControl. (while setting the device owner it shows an error and is doing an enterprise reset.)
