Trying to remove built in programs from Android devices

Solved

I am trying to remove built in applications like Samsung store and other Samsung apps. Also trying to remove some stuff that i don't need.

Also is there a way to make home shortcuts from apps already existing on the device?

Device:                      Samsung Tab A ( 2019)

Regarding Galaxy Store: did you use following to blacklist: com.sec.android.app.samsungapps

Otherwise you could enroll your devices (if enrolled via Zero-Touch) with the keep_system_apps_enabled:false instead of true (not sure about correct wording).

But then you have to install a profile which enables the needed applications via script (enable_system_app packagename).

1. Answer: You have to block those apps with Blacklist. Look up the package name up and then add them to the Application Run Control profile.

2. I currently don't know to do that. On our full managed devices the shortcuts are created automatically when apps are installed (only if via managed playstore).

Hi Rafael,

thanks for answering number 1, i will get that done now. As for number 2 we run managed app store but they seem to not appear on the home but just on the application screen. Maybe there is a setting i need to check.

Thanks

Maybe check the setting in the account you use for google managed playstore.

Could be that there's a setting which have to be set.

I have removed all the apps i don't want using the Application run control apart from one which i cannot seem to remove.

Galaxy Store is very illusive and i cannot seem to find the app within ARC. But the rest was perfect. :)
