For many years since Android 2-4.x, encrypted SD-card is only readable when inserted into the device on which it is encrypted/created. So, once it is removed, its encrypted concents are not accessible on other devices or computers.
Although I haven't verified this for quite some time, I don't think there will be any security loophole related to this in the more recent Android versions.
That sounds great. Can you please tell me how i can configure SOTI to encypt all devices's sd card that connects to SOTI ?.
Hi Raymond,
I found the option to encrypt the internal storage and sd card in the security tab in the profile configurations. But in SOTI help , i found that external SD card encryption is not supported on Hineywell devices. devices. https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v14.2/en/console/reference/dialogs/profiles/androidplus/vendorcompatmatrix_fileencryption_androidplus.html
Is there any other option available ?

There is no direct script command to initiate SD card encryption.
For legacy Android+ using OEM-specific device agent, device user should be prompted to encrypt any unencrypted SD card inserted if the device is deployed with a profile that has "External Storage Encryption" option checked in its file-Encryption configuration payload.
For Android-Enterprise platform, device user should be automatically prompted to encrypt any unencrypted SD card inserted if there is no feature-control option(e.g. "Disable Mounting Physical External Media") checked in any profile deployed onto the device.
