Windows Apps on Air Gapped networks

We are doing a proof of concept on managing our engineering laptops that live on our manufacturing networks, which are air gapped.  Currently all of the install files are on a file share insdide the network and installed from there.  The question that has come up, is it possible to use the App Catalouge from SOTI to manage them. Not all devcies will need the same software so giving them the choice on what to install would be nice.  I only see one option that is not msi(x).

Looking at your description, I have no clue about the exact problem(s) that you currently have:

  • whether or not you cannot successfully specify app policy to some specific device target(s) rather than all devices?
  • whether or not you have to deploy apps that is/are msi / msix or some other format(s) ? 
  • what you mean by "all install files are a file share inside the network & installed from there" ?

You also haven't mentioned the version and build numbers of your MobiControl server.  Is it an on-premises or cloud implementation?  

 

In general, on a closed coporate network (your air gapped network), enterprise app (uploaded onto MobiControl server or designated with accessible URL in MobiControl app policy) should be deployable to assigned devices using MobiControl app policies with the proper options.

 

I am afraid that no one can help you unless you clarify your situation with more precise and accurate details.
