Advanced configuration - Connection settings, there is a general standard option: Force device general standard mode.
What are the functions of enabling and disabling this toggle? What manifestations will occur on devices?
The tooltip indicates that the device will enforce defense-grade security requirements specified in the general standard overview.
It is supported only on Android 11 and above devices under work managed mode.
Does it support work profile registration and company-owned personal registration types?

Hi Qing,

Thanks for posting on SOTI Pulse.

The “Force device general standard mode” toggle, when enabled, compels supported Android 11+ devices in fully managed (device owner) mode to strictly adhere to a high-security baseline defined by the general standard, effectively enforcing defense-grade security requirements across the entire device. This results in tighter controls such as stronger password policies, restricted system settings (like disabling USB debugging or sideloading), mandatory encryption, and reduced user flexibility, often prompting users to comply with security rules before accessing corporate resources. When disabled, the device operates without this enforced baseline, allowing more flexibility and relying instead on other configured policies. This feature is only supported on fully managed (work-managed) devices, and it does not apply to work profile (BYOD) or company-owned personally enabled (COPE) scenarios, because those management types do not provide full device-level control required to enforce such comprehensive security standards.
