This results in tighter controls such as stronger password policies, restricted system settings (like disabling USB debugging or sideloading), mandatory encryption, and reduced user flexibility, often prompting users to comply with security rules before accessing corporate resources. When disabled, the device operates without this enforced baseline, allowing more flexibility and relying instead on other configured policies. This feature is only supported on fully managed (work-managed) devices, and it does not apply to work profile (BYOD) or company-owned personally enabled (COPE) scenarios, because those management types do not provide full device-level control required to enforce such comprehensive security standards.
