Device Relocation Rule Mapping CSV Import Question

Hello,

Getting errors trying to import a CSV with our dozens of locations. The error simply says "Please provide custom data or IP range for (). Invalid Destination Path ()." I have a CSV with 3 columns, the paths of our OU's, the starting IP and the ending IP. Example:

\\Company Name - Enterprise\Zebra TC-56 Active and Deployed\Location1

192.168.1.1

192.168.1.254

Is this correct? Do I need customdata columns, or headers? SOTI documentation is lacking with this. Thanks!

What do I put in for the custom data and value fields, if I want them to be empty on SOTI?

Thanks!

Hi Ian Stuart,

Thank you for requesting a response from SOTI Support Staff.

You can provide custom data or IP range. In your case I can see you already have the IP range which would be enough.

Below are the tricks to follow,

Please, make sure you mention the right destination path

Edit in notepad++ and UTF8 conversion

Check there are no spaces at the end of the line.

I have also found an article regarding this and can be resolved using Visual studio mode as well.

Hope this helps.

What should be put if I want the IP range empty?

I only want destination group, custom data, value

In my csv file, I put as destination, , ,custom data, value but getting the same error as above.
