Android Enterprise with Webconsole Port Other than 443

Hello

Is it possible to have the webconsole in a port different from 443 and manage Android Enterprise (Work Managed Device) devices?

In a case we have, the 443 port of the public IP is already in use for another application, so we use 7443, but when enrolling an Android Enterprise  device, after entering enrollment ID,  there is warning about server certificate and it eve though you accept, it keeps on showing it. When you choose to see the certificate it shows the info of ssl certificate of 443 port not the certificate Mobicontrol generated for 7443.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you

Please list all the change(s) you have made with MCadmin utility on your MobiControl server(s).

Hello Raymond,

In MCAdmin the Device Management Address and Management Service Address are set to the public IP and port 7443.

The webconsole is accesible from the internet (https://PublicIP:7443/Mobicontro/) and port 5494 is open, since other devices with Android OEM agent connect.

All test checks in MCAdmin are green.

Thank you.

Is the SSL certificate bind to port 443 a self-signed certificate or a paid certificate from a reputable CA vendor?  What is the domain name that the certificate binds to?

Why do you have public IP address rather than FQDN associated with the device management or management service address?

Hi Edgar

MobiControl WebConsole can bind with different port.

We have a similar case as you, and we bind it with port 8443 without any issues.

It seems like you didn't bind the paid certificate with your MobiControl environment.

It can be changed from MobiControl Administration Utility => Certificates.
