To remove a windows modern device you will need to remove the provisioning package from the device. This can be done by remote control to the device you wish to remove. You will need to be logged into the account that the package was installed on. Once there navigate to Setting > accounts > Access work or school > Add or remove a provisioning package and click it and press remove. this will remove the device from its managment state and you can then delete it from the SOTI console. the second option is to reset the device to factory state which will wipe any data and remove it from SOTI control.

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse and thanks Michael for responding to the post. 

As Michael suggested that in order to unenroll the Windows Modern device, we have to remove the provisioning package from the device. Please follow the steps below. 

(1) Navigate to Settings> Accounts > Access work or school > Add or remove a provisioning package and click it and press remove.
(2) Uninstall MobiControl agent from the Control panel.
(3) Remove SOTI folder from C:\Programdata or from C:\Program File (x86), if not there check in C:\Program File. 
(4) On the web console, select Device action > 'Delete'
