Devices have been successfully setup. When i try to open my driver mobile courier application it says ( 'This app cant be unpinned' and doesn't open the application ).

I used afw#mobicontrol when prompted for a Gmail account during factory reset. The device has been enrolled as WMD.
Mobi control version 13.3.0.3454.
Profile type is Android for work

Are you using a lockdown? Does the application work on the device 100% without MobiControl? How do you get the application onto the device?
Yes the Kiosk lockdown and i think it could be related to the lockdown because, as soon as the device has the lockdown enabled then I'm also not able to see the status bar.
Maybe you should check your device Settings -> Security tab. There might be a "Screen Pinning" option, which might have to be turned on before your app can be run.

I turned the screen pinning on and it seems to be working fine now. Why would the bar code scanner goes offline all the time?

If you enrolled via the DPC Identifier (afw#mobicontrol) then OEM system apps like DataWedge (if a Zebra device) can be disabled by default as a result of the enrollment method. You can re-enable them with the enable_system_app script or you can unenroll and re-enroll with a method that leaves system apps enabled (eg. StageNow for Zebra devices).
