according to your documentation, SMTP should be configured to use STARTTLS and that's what I can not configure with MobiControl. IMAP / POP are just fine.

Any other idea?

i'm trying to configure email settings via android classic profile for an office 365 account. Email: IMAP Account (soti.net)

According to Microsoft documentation, SMTP encryption has to be STARTTLS, but this option is not available in MobiControl. For this reason i can not properly configure this office 365 email account to send email. POP, IMAP, and STMP settings - Office Support (microsoft.com)

The only way to make it work, as far as I know, is to manually edit the SMTP parameter directly on the device (please see the screenshot in my first post)

Understood, thank you for clarifying. Is there a specific reason why you need to utilize SMTP and not utilize the IMAP / POP Protocols instead? As directed by the initial reference screenshot, Office 365 supports IMAP / POP Configuration.

IMAP / POP are used to receive emails (incoming server), while SMTP is used for sending emails (outgoing server). If I don't configure SMTP i can not send emails.  

In both IMAP and POP (your screenshot) there is an incoming and an outgoing (SMTP) section that I have to configure.

The problem is that the outgoing section doesn't have STARTTLS as encryption option.

Office 365 wants only STARTTLS for outgoing encryption.

I've contacted our Product Management Team to receive clarification on this issue with "Use TLS" and "STARTTLS" for SMTP Outgoing on the IMAP/POP3 Profile Configuration on Android Classic. I'll respond back in due course.

I'll create my own post if needed, but figured I would piggyback of this post as it similar to what I am doing. What was the recommended configuration in cloud SOTI Mobicontrol to allow SMTP to work with Office 365? 

I too am using smtp.office365.com port: 587

In SOTI Mobicontrol my options are:
