How to Create Custom Data for Windows Modern to Retrieve Information from the Registry

Situation
The web console can display more user details to help administrators troubleshoot devices quickly and save time.
Environment
This applies to Windows Modern devices.
Process Description
1. Right-click on the device group, select Advanced Configuration. The Configurations tab opens.
2. In the top right drop-down menu, select Windows Modern.
3. To configure custom data, select the Custom Data option.
4. Toggle on the options Override settings inherited from parent group 'My Company' and Enable Custom Data Configuration.
Note: If needed, you can also toggle on Apply changes to all child groups and devices. This will apply the changes to all the child group.
5. Select + Add on the right side of Custom Definitions.
6. Enter the following information:
Name: Provide a name for this specific custom data. This will be visible on the details page of the device on the console.
Build Type: Select Registry from the drop-down menu.
Registry Hive: Enter the registry hive. This can be confirmed on the Registry Editor of the Windows Modern device. Example: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Key Path: Please input the path of the registry key that holds the value to be displayed. Example: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI.
Value Name: Enter the exact name of the registry value you want to display. For Example: LastLoggedOnUser.
Data Type: It can be selected as per data type, like STRING for text data, FLOAT for numerical values with decimals, and INTEGER for numerical values without decimals.
Descriptions: Please provide a description of the custom data.
7. After entering all the data, select OK. The custom data is displayed on the device details page.
If the admin desires to track information on a logged-in user, they can create a Data Collection Rule which will store the data as per the rule setup.
