Description
Google has released a new announcement regarding an update to their inactive account policies. Google accounts will be deleted after a 2-year period of inactivity as defined by the Inactive Google Account Policy.
One of the required steps to manage applications on Android Enterprise devices is to register an enterprise. This is often done with the use of a Google Account. If an enterprise does not have any Owner accounts associated, it may be deleted after 30 days.
Owner and Admin accounts are exempt from the change in Google’s inactivity policy. For further details, see Clarification on our Inactive Account Policies.
It is still recommended to make sure you add a recovery email for your enterprise Owner accounts as well as add an additional Owner account as outlined in the article: Assigning Roles in Enterprises.
