How to Manually Add an App to the SOTI XSight Console

Situation
When an application is missing from the most-used apps list in SOTI XSight, you must add it manually to enable proper usage tracking and categorization.
Process Description
1. In your SOTI MobiControl web console, navigate to ≡ (main menu) > SOTI One > SOTI XSight.
Note: Alternatively, you can access SOTI XSight by logging in to your SOTI Identity tenant and selecting the SOTI XSight application icon.
2. In the SOTI XSight Console, open Operational Intelligence.
3. From the Dashboard dropdown menu, select Dashboard Usage > App Mappings.
4. In the Manage App Mappings and Categories window, navigate to the Mappings tab and select Add (+) to add a new application.
5. Fill in the following application details:
- App Name: Enter the name of the application.
- App Category: Specify the app category (for example, Business or Regular).
- Package ID (Bundle ID): Provide the unique package identifier for the application.
6. After adding the app, you can assign it to specific devices, groups, or users. This ensures that the app usage tracking gets deployed to the intended targets.
Verification and Validation
After adding the app, verify that it appears correctly under Operational Intelligence > Dashboard Usage and that usage metrics are being collected as expected.
