Situation

These steps can be performed to re-arrange charts and modify the look and feel of the dashboards while providing visibility on the relevant information. Customizing the SOTI XSight dashboards in the SOTI XSight console allows the user to tailor the Operational Intelligence dashboards to suit their needs.

Environment

This article is applicable to SOTI XSight 2024.0.0 and above.

Process Description

Begin by opening the SOTI XSight console and navigate to the Operational Intelligence section.

 

Selecting Charts

  1. Click Charts to open the Customize Your Dashboard menu.

2. Select and deselect charts from the SOTI XSight dashboard as needed.

3. Click Apply to implement the changes.

Relocating Charts

Charts can be re-arranged in all dashboards in order to bring the most relevant information to the top.

 

  1. Click and hold on the chart you wish to move.
  2. Move the chart to the desired position.

3. Release the mouse to apply your changes.

Increasing the Number of Entries

By default, some charts only display the top 5 entries. However, there is often a need to deep-dive into the data. Some charts allow you to customize the number of entries displayed.

 

To check if a chart supports this feature:

 

  1. Hover the cursor over the chart and click the gear icon.
  2. In the Limit Top Entries Shown field, select the number of entries.

3. Click Save to apply your changes.

   

Adjusting Value Ranges

Certain charts, such as battery temperature, provide the option to adjust the ranges for low and high:

 

  1. Hover the cursor over the chart and click the gear icon. 
  2. Use the sliders to select the appropriate temperature ranges.
  3. Click Save.
