Make SOTI XSight Chat Available in Lockdown

Situation
This article is intended for devices using SOTI MobiControl lockdown, aiming to enhance Live Support functionality and provide seamless accessibility for end users.
Environment
Perform this process on cloud-hosted and on-premise instances of SOTI MobiControl. It is only applicable for SOTI XSight versions 4.3 and later.
Process Description
1. Navigate to the current Lockdown Profile in your SOTI MobiControl environment.
2. Edit the existing Lockdown Profile under Configuration.
3. Add a home screen by selecting the plus icon.
Note: This page may vary in appearance, depending on the specific SOTI MobiControl version.
4. Enter the display name. This gets displayed under the icon for the lockdown item.
5. In the Action field, select Launch.
6. In the Package Name or URL field, enter the following sub-activity of the SOTI XSight Chat service: net.soti.sabhalib/.view.chat.ChatActivity.
Note: This applies to all versions of SOTI XSight that support Live Support functionality.
7. Once all the fields have been completed, select Add, followed by Save.
8. Assign the edited Lockdown Profile to all required devices.
9. Once the profile is installed on the devices, the SOTI XSight chat interface icon appears onn the Lockdown screen.
10. Select the SOTI XSight Chat icon to open the chat interface.
