Hello all, i'm beginner with soti mobicontrol, we have mobicontrol in version 13.3.0.3454 and we have +- 700 devices under android 6.0. we have a package who contains an apk who is installed on all devices. Now, we have a new version of the apk and of course we'd like to update all devices with this new apk (package). For to do that (testing), on 1 device i've created a new package with the new apk. on this package, i have created a script who run (pre script) a command for to uninstall the apk i have put this package into a new profile, and assign this new profile to my device. that's work fine but..i've notice and it's normal i have two profil on this device !!! profile 1 with the old package profile 2 with the new package i think my procedure isn't a good way ? My question is, how i can update all my device with a proper method ? Is it possible to find a good procedure or tell me how i can delete a profile with a command perhaps ? thanks for all Christophe

My situation is as follows: 1. Installed AFW on a Nokia 8 running Android 8.1.0 2. Enrolled in Mobicontrol 3. Created Package with my APK and assigned to Profile 4. Assigned Profile to Devices - Install Success 4. Made an update to my App and created new APK 5. Removed old Package from Profile 6. Create new Package with new APK and assigned to Profile 7. Assigned Profile to Devices - Install Failed with IO Error Upon inspection it seems like Google Play Protect is preventing the app install. The only workaround is to manually go into settings on each phone and disable Google Play Protect. Once I do this the install succeeds. Is anyone aware of this issue / solution?
Is it possible to remove an assigned AD user from a device altogether? I know it is possible to change an assigned user but I can't see an option to remove the assigned user (to make it a true stock device). Of course I could just use a test AD user to help with this but I would like a 'cleaner' solution if possible!
I'm trying to re-install a package, that was previously installed on my Nokia 8 (Android 8.0.1) using an Android Enterprise Profile. The profile installation is now failing with the message File IO error on device. Check Storage/Permisisons. Any ideas?
I rolled back the package version on an update that went out, and since then every install has failed. The previous package version also does not show the previous package version installed anymore, yet all still have the old version of our internal apk installed. I was able to get one of the remote devices by sending an uninstall script to the failed device, then clicked "Retry Profile Installation", and this updated the apk properly. However, this has one glaring flaw: by doing this, I lose all of the preferences stored in the app, which presents a problem with so many devices out in the field. Is there a way to force a reinstall of the apk? MobiControl doesn't want to install over the existing application, even though the new one has a higher version number and version code.
With SIM card Mobicontrol agent is communicating , Mobicontrol Agent is not connecting with Particular network via WiFi. so what are the port should open in firewall,or what is the issue.
Hello there, Zebra TC75x require updates from Zebra website called "Lifeguard"(Zebra software security solutions). I managed to download these files but unfortunately able to install "LifeGuard" while sending SCRIPT "install_system_update /storage/sdcard1/CFE_ATLAS_P08_NG_01-01.49" Failed. Getting an WARNING ERROR "Error message received from device (Failed to open file. /storage/sdcard1/CFE_ATLAS_P08_NG_01-01.49" Any thoughts in how to install this update? I've been used to working with Lockdown via Android+ and allowing users to see and interact with the status bar. Enabling Kiosk mode on Android Enterprise I have lost the status bar completely- a plain black bar. I have created a separate profile with Feature Control added and the status bar is not disabled. We keep Lockdown (now Kiosk) profile separate to other security profile options so we can apply different lockdowns to different users but only have to manage one set of security rules. How do I get the status bar back and keep kiosk available.
Hi Everyone, Is there a way to run MobiControl Stage Programmer on an Android and scan a QR Code; instead of NFC as the device isn't NFC capable, to provision a device? I've side loaded the MobiControl Stage Programmer .apk on the device but I'm being prompted with NFC Not Supported and the application closes out. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.. Is there an easy way to add a folder shortcut to an Android lockdown screen? I know you can add file shortcuts using the File:// activity, however this doesn't work for folder locations (and Folder:// doesn't exist!) Would this need to be accomplished via an Android intent?
Hello, A customer of us has a user application that has an option of social networks, which opens a webview, inside the app, to the website of the social network. So we think the Firewall profile could serve for this porpouse, but there you have to input the IP address of remote host, and since there are lots of IPs for Facebook, for instance, how could we achieve this restriction ? Samsung devices (Android+). I appreciate your suggestions.
I have created a Lockdown screen for Android, but i am unable to get the phone app working; i have tried setting it to Launch various phone apps com.android.server.telecom, com.samsung.android.incallui, com.android.phone but i always get the package unavailable message; if you go via the contacts however you can dial out and you can also dial out via bluetooth and the phone will still receive incoming calls. I'm running Mobicontrol 14.0, and the phone is Samsung SM-A520F Android 8.0 with agent version 13.5.0 build 1327 (ELM)
