Hi guys , Lockdown starts but only in the background (taskmanager) but doesn't open the window. The application in Mobisys. I sent this script : writeprivateprofstring kiosk ShowAllWindows 1 But still same..any suggestion please?
Whenever I try to remote control a Windows CE device, I am prompted to download and install the remote control plug-in (SotiRemoteControlInstaller.ms) and then restart my browser. Things worked for several months & then it suddenly fails. This is now the second machine with exactly the same behaviour. Sometimes, killing the SotiRemoteControlLauncher.exe & restarting the browser works, sometimes not. Similar to this issue, my remote control sessions do not work. Unfortunately, I am using Internet Explorer 11 and not google Chrome. the work around suggested in that thread does not work for me. It's a Windows Mobile 6.5 OS running on a MC9190 device. I'm trying to create a package which can push several registry files to a folder and automatically load them in to the registry. I tried both "regload" script and "Auto Execute" in MobiControl - Package Studio and none of them work. Here is my example script. regload \application\Install Files\03_IEsettings.reg Does anyone have the same experience?

I know we can browse the website via browse:// as mentioned by the following SOTI online help. https://goo.gl/fZnZfY However, my situation is every devices need to browse a website which has no convention logic of the URL . I have to manually create multiple Website.url files with different URL and push them to corespondent devices. All the devices are enrolled within one group and i don't want to create different lockdown menus for each devices (1000+). I need to be able to open the url shortcut of \application\Website.url from SOTI lockdown page. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
I am having issues with the MobiControl Stage app when attempting to stage via bar-codes for Motorola/Symbol scanners. I have created a Fusion profile with all of the correct settings in the Mobicontrol stage app to connect to our AP however, I consistently get the error "Failed to configure Fusion Wireless" when finishing scanning bar-codes. Scanning the bar-codes does install the certificate I imported in the stage app but will not set the profile in Fusion before failing. I am able to set Fusion Global settings, Fusion password, Radio on, and Radio off fine through bar-codes and have confirmed these settings work. I also can create a profile in Fusion manually with identical settings to what I put in the Mobicontrol stage app and it works fine to connect. Does anyone have any experience with Fusion Wireless and Mobicontrol stage app? I can hardly find any documentation on the bar-code staging subject other than extremely basic SOTI overview documentation, so if anyone could shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it. My model of scanner is Zebra\Symbol MC32N0 and MC3190 both with supported versions of Fusion according to the document I found on this forum. Here are a few more details: Mobicontrol VER: 13.0.0.33766 Mobicontrol Stage Ver 13.2.0 Build: 3247 Device Model: MC32N0 OS: Windows Embedded 7.0 build 2824 Device Model: MC3190 OS: Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 Classic At this point I only need to be able to get bar-codes to set a wireless profile in Fusion and I'll be golden. Has anyone gotten this script to work successfully as a pre-install script in a package? Why does the documentation specify 1: as the root directory? Can I reference a file name instead of a folder? Also, can "if exist" be used in other scripts than finishpkg? Sorry for my lack of sleuthing here. Working in a production environment and rebuilding packages to test a script gets time-consuming.
Wondering if anyone has deployed multiple deployment servers here and what it takes from a server/resource perspective and how it impacts the Management Console experience. This question is coming from a call I had with SOTI Support last week about CE5 devices that were not able to enroll into 14.1 because 14.1 installs with a SHA2 root cert and CE5 devices can only use SHA1. They also mentioned that If I did want to enroll CE5 (along with SHA2 compatible devices) then I'd have to set up a 2nd deployment server and install a SHA1 cert. I'm going to be doing some digging on my own and may even reopen the previous case but would like to hear your thoughts. Also, @SOTI , if you have any release notes specifically for what version this root cert change was made, I'd like to see that. Though testing, my 13.3 env can enroll CE5 devices and does not have the "Force SHA1" option in the enrollment rule settings so I'm assuming it's using SHA1. If 13.4 uses SHA1 as well then I will just recommend this version until customers upgrade past CE5 devices. Thanks, Ben
I have a 13.3 setup on a physical server, and I have recently setup a 14.1 on a VM that will be our new production server. I'm trying to figure out the best way to start to migrate these windows (all win ce) devices to the new SOTI server. Any one have any ideas or experience doing this? I've been searching around for some info but I actually do not see much online.

I am installing MobiControl v13.2 on our server and when the installer is trying to create/update the database, throws the error above and crashes. I followed the installations guide, there is no proxy in between, firewall is disabled. Maybe someone here could have an idea what is this trying to say? Many thanks in advance! Hi, I have a .rdp file that I am adding as a menu item to my SOTI Lockdown screen as it's required for my particular scenario. The RDP logo will appear in the lockdown so the path is correct but launching it does not seem to work. (ie. tap/enter but nothing happens) If there was a way to get that working that'd be great but there may only be a solution for my workaround below: A few threads back I had a topic on launching a script from the lockdown screen on an android device and we achieved that with script://<path>/<script file> for the menu item after placing a .cmd script on the device. I would like to essentially accomplish this same thing but on Windows CE this time if possible as I have a SOTI script that can be used to launch the .rdp extension. There may be something simple I'm overlooking so I'm going to go dig through some docs. Thanks, Ben
This is kind of a shot in the dark but here goes: We recently updated MobiControl and we've had a few issues but mostly they've been worked out. We've had to create a few packages from scratch but there are a handful of devices that when we try and push the updated package out to them it fails. I looked int the log file and got this message: "Package "New Inv" version 1.0 failed to install. Installation aborted by install script" I've asked around and no one seems to know what the install script is or why it's failing. Like I said we have thousands of these devices that took the update no problem, it's just about 20-30 that's it's failing. They all are the same device and they all appear to have the same profiles installed. We are running Zebra MC67 scanners with Mobiles Mobile Does anyone have any ideas?
Is it possible to open/decompile a .pcg file to see which files are inside?
I've declared a custom attribute for a device and set its value to zero I would like to change its value into 1 in the before/after script of a filesync rule. If possible, what is the right syntax for that ? Reason is, when you do a filesync on a group of devices, it seems that you are not aware that nothing has been done on those which are not connected.
