Blinking screen while lockdown is on - Mobicontrol

Hello, I have a problem with propably lockdown ( Soti Mobicontrol ). When the lockdown is on, screen is blinking every a few minutes. It is look like lockdown want to reload/refresh. I removed all external links (for example JS/CSS/Img files ) and files reference from lockdown, because I thought that files refreshed and then reloaded lockdown. I don't idea where is the problem.. Without lockdown, it works well. Maybe this issue appear when the devices lost connection to the internet and then connect? Then the lockdown try to reload screen or something. Configure and use Hotspot with lockdown?

Hello, Does anyone have any experience in configuring and enabling hotspot while in lockdown? Ideally, we would like the end-user to have this functionality as it's needed for work use to connect our RFID scanners in the field. I know there is no such feature in SOTI Settings and I am not sure if there is a way to script it via a shortcut on the lockdown. Models: S7, S8, S8+, S9, S9+, Note8, Note9, Note10, A50 (some models are AT&T firmware and some unlocked) OS: 7.11, 8.0, 8.1, 9.0, and 10. DA+ 95% majority, only about 10-11 devices enrolled with AE.

How to hide the "Settings" shortcut in lockdown mode?

Hello SOTI-community, we have several hundred Honeywell CT 60 devices which are running a self-developed app. I would like to use the lockdown mode (Android Plus) to only let the colleagues access this very app. Unfortunately, when we roll out updates, there are two settings-popups which the users will have to manually allow and set (battery optimization and system settings access), because they can't be set via script. Since that is the case, I have to have the Settings enabled in lockdown mode as well (or the device will deadlock itself, because its awaiting input (allowing of permissions) the user is not able to give). Is it possible to have the settings enabled, but the shortcut hidden (so the users can't access the settings, but deal with the popups)? Or is there an option to allow battery optimization and system settings access via script? (I have already opened a SOTI helpdesk ticket, but we couldn't manage to get it done) Any help would be much appreciated. BR Dahin

Best practice for lockdown for multiple device types? + some minor issues Solved

Hello, We are currently using a mixture of Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and a simple HTML lockdown we've developed internally. The issue we are currently facing is since we have such various devices in our possession, developing a lockdown and system to issue it is challenging.  We currently only have one lockdown profile and this has some issues with some models. We've discovered today that some of our devices have different application names for the dialer. One uses "com.samsung.android.dialer" and the others seem to use "com.samsung.android.contacts/com.android.dialer.DialtactsActivity" from my testing.  Is it possible to include two package names in the lockdown but only show the one installed on the device? I'm not entirely against having another profile, but I feel like it might be more work in the future if we ever need to modify these profiles later on.  Another issue that we've encountered is that the user cannot modify settings on the device. I believe in the past they were able to modify the device settings unless we checked the "disable settings changes" under the status bar in the lockdown menu. I could technically install the SOTI settings application, and will likely do so, but it does not have the ability to adjust the hotspot on the device and some of our users need access to modify the hotspot settings. MobiControl Version: 14.4.8.1043 Agent version: 14.1.8.1111 Models: S7, S8, S8+, S9, S9+, Note8, Note9, Note10, A50 (some models are AT&T firmware and some unlocked) OS: 7.11, 8.0, 8.1, 9.0, and 10. DISPLAY DEVICE PATH OR CUSTOM ATTRIBUTE ON LOCKDOWN

Our MC is release 14.4. We manage around 3000 devices on 40 different kind of field services. The devices have different lockdown and access according to field services being assigned. It is common a device been transferred to different departments, so they must receive new assignemnets. It is also common the end user to forget to request to transfer the device in MobiControl, keeping the former assignments. When we were running MC 13, in order to avoid devices misplacements, in our lockdown template we have displayed the device path, by including a a reference to an external html file. This external html file  have been transferred by a filesync rule.  Such solution were consuming network band, so we have deactivated it. Is it available on MC release 14.4 any macro or environment variable that we may include on html lockdowntemplate to show which path the device is located, or maybe a custom attribute that may shows its content on lockdown ?  Something similar to %IMEI%

Galaxy Tab Active 2 - Previous app being killed when switching to a different app Solved Locked

Hi all I am aware based on 2 previous postings of this issue and noticed that Soti themselves responded saying it would be fixed in a future agent version update, however since then for the above devices (SM-T395) running Android 9.0 when switching between apps whilst in lockdown the apps are being killed when switched meaning the user is logged out and has to start afresh. This is causing issues with some of our apps and our users are growing frustrated and is causing more support calls to us. The last time the issue was reported was back in August with someone asking what the issue was and was there any update to the fix? Can anyone advise when this is going to be fixed as we currently have in excess of 150 people using this model of tablet with this issue that have further issues caused by Soti killing the apps. Any ideas when this will finally be fixed? Agent versions ranging from 14.0 to 14.1 currently on our tablets. Thanks
