Hi, is there any possibility to automatically adjust the background picture to the correct size of the device or the correct zoom factor the user is using? Most of the users are using with a "smaller zoom" than the standard display is showing. See the following picture as an example. The third picture (right) shows the problem. Is there any way to adjust this automatically? So I am trying to setup our device enrollments on an FTP server. Part of the Enrollment is the JSON file that holds the Enrollment ID. With something like the Agent file I can select to use and external source. I store the Agent on an FTP server and enter "ftp-p://USERNAME:PASSWORD@ftp.domain.com:21/Agents/GoogleMobiControl1442_1039.apk" in the external source. I do the same thing with the .bin file for the deployment package. This works great and I love it. Now when I get to the JSON file it only lets me select a file from my PC, I do not get a selection for an external source. So does anyone know how I can do this or a better way of getting the enrollment ID to the device? Thanks!
We run our IPads in Single App Mode with a password. In order to run Remote View to see what issues the user is having, you have to put in the password to break out of the app to open MobiControl. Inside MobiControl is there a way to automate resetting the password per device and sending it to the IT tech after they have finished helping the user. We want to keep the IPad’s secure and locked down with the Single app mode, but at the same time with IPad’s being limited to remote view only, be able to help our users when needed.
Good Evening, Another couple questions for the group: 1: Does anyone know if the Samsung stock email client supports Active Sync redirect 451? 2: Is there a script that I can send to the device that allows me to change the mail servers on a device that was manually configured Active Sync? The Managed Application of the Samsung Email client is not overwriting the old data and if you send a wipeapplication script I am then greeted with MDM is blocking adding another account. (Even if I have the device in a group that has no restrictive profiles.) We are going from On- Prem to Cloud and i would like to make this as seemless as possible. The only other route I can think of is to use EndPoint manager as a MAM and SOTI as the MDM and push the Client portal and the Outlook app about a day before hand. Update: Not the route I want to go with as now it becomes even more cumbersome managing the entire scope of devices. I would have thought with a wipe application and then turn on the Application Management in the Playstore Portal for the client would have been the ticket. However that error of MDM is blocking adding account even when the feature control is set to allow - Or is set to block google or even all. Any thoughts? Thanks Jason
Good Evening, Is anyone seeing an issue where the end user is not able to press settings as the application will fail? (Start then disappear) I have a Samsung Note 20+ 5G enrolled and I am not seeing the same results. Agent versions are the same: MobilControl: 14.4.2.1307 ( Yes I know old we are working on getting our VM servers up to 2016) Location - On Prem Agent Version of Note20: 14.4.3.1074 Agent Version of S10e: 14.4.3.1074 Now clearly we know that these are way 2 different models within the Samsung Line-up. However it seems to me that a simple script would resolve the S10e issue as the Note 20 has no issues at all. Thanks Jason
We're currently running our SOTI instance on Version: 15.2.3.1033, and attempted to setup an iOS Data Collection rule to pull geolocation data on a set of iPads enabled with cellular data. Data collection is only appearing under device information once the agent is launching. What needs to be configured so that the rule queries these devices ever so often for the geolocation data to be recorded instead of having to open the iOS SOTI app?
Hello, we are using Kiosk mode on Zebra TC56 device with android 7.1.2 and Mobicontrol v. 13.5.1 and we have problem with changing default application for messaging (com.android.mms). We have our own app for text messaging and when we start it there is a message "Change SMS app? Use app xy instead of Messaging as you SMS app?". Problem is that this message dissappear immediately (probably security function of Kiosk mode?) and it is not possible to accept the change. When we turn off Kiosk mode as administrator and try to start our app from android enviroment mentioned message (Change SMS app?) doesn't dissappear and we can accept it. But it would be quite hard to do this manual change on about 2k devices in production eviroment. We tried to uncheck "Activity Suppression" in advanced Kiosk mode settings which resolved our current problem. But another problem arose. The new one is with bluetooth pairing. Window with pairing code is somewhere "under" Kiosk mode layer so it is not displayed and we have to turn off Kiosk mode again and check pairing window. Can someone help us with this issue? Hello, I use afw#mobicontrol for enrollment on Samsung device with Entreprise Android and reactivate only few samsung App. I have a lot of new device to enroll, using the QR code of Stage programmer looked good but when i use a QR code i obtain a different result, the device keep all core app. There is a way for enrollment with QR code give same result than afw#mobicontrol ? Is there a way to send a script down to an Android device to force it to check-in? I tried "connect -f" but I can't really tell if it's doing anything, nothing logs as a device check-in. I would like to send a device check-in script as part of a post installation script in a package after a new software version is installed. This would allow to us to quickly see if the app version incremented successfully as well as some other items. Thanks

I am receiving thew following error when opening the Manage Android and Plugins window from Global Settings: Failed to load manufacturers or no coimpatible agents found. Same error is displayed if I click OK on the error window and move to Plugins tab. Do you have any idea why I am receiving this? Thank you very much for your help in advance!
Hello all, my customer currently uses an on-premise SOTI MC server (15.1.1) in his internal network. In the future, he would like to use apps on his devices that require an internet connection (MS Teams or similar). Instead of opening the internal network for the communication, he would like to use the devices outside of the internal network and let them communicate with the SOTI MC server through the public Internet. What exactly must be observed in order to make the SOTI MC server available online? In my understanding, we need to do the following steps. - Open the network port of the server on port 5494 - Create an external DNS record for the server - Use an external certificate Are there any other aspects to observe? Feel free to correct my steps. Furthermore, if we managed to make the server extern available, how is the behavior of the enrolled devices? Am I able to switch the connection of enrolled devices from internal network to the internet with an automatic connection between the device and the MC server? Thank you in advance for your answer! Hi All, We are trying to deploy a datawedge profile (dwprofile_MSCA.db) using a package in SOTI on a Zebra MC330x device running Android 10. Deploying it through a package has worked successfully and the dwprofile_MSCA.db file has succesfully imported to the correct folder: /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/dwprofile_MSCA.db Once the file has been pushed to the folder location above using SOTI, we are seeing no change within the Datawedge app in the device. We have tried to reboot as well but not seeing any changes once the device is back online. We have had to click the options menu in datawedge (top right buttons) and manually import the profile from the autoimport folder on each of the devices so far. After doing this we can see the MSCA profile within the menu and it is working fine. I have also tried a script that I found online to push the dwprofile_MSCA.db file once it is on the device but had no joy. The script was the one given on the Zebra website, __chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/dwprofile_MSCA.db Again after executing the script, no changes are seen in the datawedge app until I manually import it. Please advise on the path forward to automate this as we only have another few weeks before we are going to be rolling out the remainder of the devices and this method of manually having to import in the datawedge application is not feasible for such a large amount of devices.
