Hello together, we upgraded the android agent to version 14.5.5.1023 on our Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro ( Model SM-G715FN ). but now we got the problem, that no Toast Messages will be shown in our App. If we activate the administrator Mode, it works. But in UserMode it does't. The devices are up to date, and with the old agent, it worked. Do you have any ideas, what the reason is? In android we activated all known settings, that could block it. Thanks for your help
I am searching for details about how much data use by MC agent maximum. I could not find any commitment from SOTI or any document. I know that I can check the device for data consumption by MC agent app. but I need find commitment from SOTI that how much data use by their product agent Per Day, hour, or minute. then I can share the details with customers with proof.
Good afternoon, I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade one of my test devices to agent 14.4.7 and how I could go about doing so. I recently downloaded SOTI's newest APKs for SURF and Settings manager. I deployed it to a single test device with a test profile first in order to ensure the app will function properly before deploying to our 600+ devices. I noticed that the Settings Manager app is giving me a message that says "Update agent. You need MobiControl Agent 14.4.7 or higher to use this feature." I would like to update my agent on my test device so i can make sure the apps and remote capabilites funtion properly. we are currently on agent 14.1.4.1010. samsung tab a 2017-2020
i cant install on raspbian SO , I change permission with chmod a+x and chmod +x over install.sh but i cant resolve the issue.
Bear with me on this one.... I am having issues connecting to certain Samsung Devices that are at a specific Agent Version or above; First issue is that the Remote Access icon has changed on some of these from "Remote Control" to "Remote View" Agent Version 14.4.3.1074 Model SM-T515 - Has Remote Control - Allows connection Agent Version 14.4.5.1033 Model SM-T835 - Has Remote View - Does not allow connection Agent Version 14.4.4.1051 Model SM-T515 - Has Remote Control - Allows connection Agent Version 14.4.3.1074 Model SM-T835 - Has Remote View - Does not allow connection Agent Version 14.3.3.1038 Model SM-T835 - Has Remote Control - Allows connection Agent Version 14.4.1.1064 Model SM-T835 - Has Remote View - Does not allow connection All have Android Version 10 My question is why do they T835s that are at a higher Agent Version of 14.3.3.1038 (seemingly at 14.4...onwards) have "Remote View" icon which doesn't work, and how do I change it back to the "Remote Control" icon that works. I have been speaking to Soti Support but they are not sure and I need this fixing to remotely support users!
Hello dear Soti Team,We are currently experiencing some problems with some Android 9 (Android Plus) Honeywell CT60s. We noticed that many devices are displayed as offline in the web view. We then noticed that the Mobicontrol Agent can no longer be opened on the devices and that the agent takes up the entire memory space of the device (15GB). The device can therefore no longer be administered.I read in the forum that this could be a bug in the SQL database on the device:https://discussions.soti.net/kb/android-enterprise-and-oem-specific-agents-are-crashing-after-agent-upgrade/Agent 14.3.4.1006 is currently installed on all affected devices. It is possible to copy a new agent via USB and install it over the device. I was able to install the following version: HoneywellMobiControl1442NewGen_1039.However, the problem persists, presumably because the defective and cluttered SQL database is still present in the background.Unfortunately, we have the feature control with "Disable removal of Mobicontrol Agent" active, which is why we are unable to completely remove the agent beforehand. Is there any way we can remove the complete Mobicontrol Agent installation in order to start a fresh installation of the agent? Unfortunately, Mobicontrol is still functional enough to prevent us from uninstalling it.It would be very bad for us if we now have to reinstall devices worldwide. Cheers Maik
The New Huawei devices get the instance of the Google Mobile Services , get Huawei Mobile Services, someone knows about this compatibility with SOTI ?
Hello, We would like to develop an Adndroid application that could send intent to the android enterprise agent installed on the device. Is there a way to directly contact the agent (does the AE agent have an intent receiver?) or do we have to go through the MobiControl API? (We would prefer to send an intent directly to the agent without going through the API) Android Enterprise Device Owner (agent version 14.3.3.1038) MobiControl vesion 14.3.3.1111 Thank you for your answer BR, Yoan.
Hello, I have some question regarding the agent behavior when it receive requests. We use the MobiControl API. Does the agent process tasks synchronously or asynchronously ? What is the agent's behavior regarding queuing / buffer ? If the agent is unreachable and we send several commands to the agent, will all the commands be processed the next time the agent connects or only the last command sent ? Is there a way to manage request priorities ? If we send a reboot request to the agent (POST /devices/{deviceId}/actions: SoftReset) is there a way from our business application to catch this information ? Would it be possible to identify from our application that a reboot request has been sent to the agent ? Is there a library available for this kind of operation ? Many thanks for your answer / explanation / documentation regarding these different points.
Hey there! I'm not sure that this is the right subject for here... Our software department is currently developing an app that displays specific information about our CT60 devices. We also implemented a menu item that allows the user to switch the flashlight on / off and change the screen brightness. Problem: The app behaves completely normal after the start. When I switch to the page with the configuration possibilities the app trys to check the permissions. All permissions are set. The only problem I have is the "Modify system settings" of MobiControl permission. I don't know if its only a permission problem of the Agent or if I grant permissions to the new application. I can't seem to successfully execute the Uninstall.bat file from the MobiControl folder. I receive this error message: Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi! I got some Elo Touch(Model: Elo-i2-10Val) where it was wanted that I enrolled these into SOTI MobiControl and enrolled some software on them. First of all i tried setting up a rule which included the Elo Touch in the "MobiControl Agent Selection", with this is seems like it don't find an Agent(which is logical for my next observations). Futher I tried a couple of the Agents from https://docs.soti.net/mobicontrolagentdownloads/ and when enrolling with one of these the unit gets enrolled(so it passes the HW-check), but in the Device Groups it appears as "Agent not compatible". Any which have any ideas regarding this? Might it be that it isnt compatible to the server-version? I see that the current server-version running is: 14.2.2.1170 Br. Anders Kvisvik FARA
Hi, I'm currently creating some new 'Add devices rules'. The device which is going to be used here is a device that currently don't have a device agent on server, but is on the https://docs.soti.net/mobicontrolagentdownloads/. How could new agents from this list be added to the server? I want that there should be as few manual steps as possible, and therefore don't want that the user should be needed to manually install the .apk themself. The current version of MobiControl used is: 14.2.2.1170 For me it seems like there was an possibility in v11 (through: https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v11/en/Content/Manager/AgentMgr.htm), and also now a possibility in 14.3(through: https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v14.3/en/console/devices/managing/enrolling/update_device_agent_android.html). In 14.3 we got some problems with some other things, so we don't have the possibility to update the server right now. Thanks in advance! Br. Anders Kvisvik FARA
I have been driving myself crazy trying to find the root cause of this. The MobiControl agent on our TC8000 scanners are constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. The worst part of it is that eventually it will cause the scanners to completely lock up and they have to be force rebooted. The workaround right now is to disable the MobiControl agent on the scanners (force close the app) which will prevent them from locking up, but obviously the downside is that I can't remotely manage them while the agent isn't running. I have tried disabling Doze mode, disabling Bluetooth, GPS, etc. and nothing seems to work. I even went as far as reinstalling SOTI and completely rebuilding the SOTI database as I thought maybe the database got corrupted somehow, but it didn't change anything. Our wireless network in the building is rock solid so I know that is not what is causing the agent to crash. Does anyone have any other ideas that I can try? As you can see from the logs of this particular scanner it was constantly disconnecting (all day) until finally at 4:46 PM the scanner froze and I had to force a reboot. This happens a lot on scanners that are connected to SOTI.
We have a lot of TC56 in the filed and all keep connection to MobiControl server if there is a Wifi or mobile connection. But on a view devices the agent gets disconnected even if there is an active network connection (other apps can work well over the internet). After a reset the MobiControl agent remains disconnected. You can only get the agent connected if you tap on the “Agent Status” in the Device configuration view of the MobiControl agent. But it gets disconnected after a few minutes again. The connection settings are Perisistent for these devices (like for all other devices) How can I get these devices pemanently online again? MobiControl version: 14.4.3 Android Enterprise Agent Versio: several 13.6.0 - 14.0.0
