Hi, We have been using a HP Engage device running android without any issues for the past 12 months and we upgraded to Soti 15.2.3 2 weeks ago and now when we try to RC the device the button is missing. all the other devices are fine but this device is an issue. We check the API and it says RC Error Enterprise 4.1 We have tried _resetfailedrcdetectionflag restartagent also retryrcdetection I even tried rolling back our server to 3 weeks ago to see if this is a Soti server upgrade issue and problem is still there so this seems to be either a device or agent issue. This is the Agent details Device family Android Plus OS 8.1 Agent verison 13.7.0.1031 Android APU Level 27 RC version 1.15.3.109 If anyone can help that would be amazing.
I am looking for the easiest method to enroll android devices. Please correct me if i am wrong on any of the points below and guide me. I want to use Android Plus mode because 1. it requires the device to be facory reset 2. AP mode supports more functionalities as it is designed specifically for each brand and model sperately where as AE is generic and some functioalities may not be available for some devices. 3 . It is mainly for BYOD work managed devices and doesn't support device admin mode 4 . It requires internet connectivity on the devices as it uses google services So in Android Plus mode, currently i have the option to download the agent from my SOTI server or from SOTI website , but in both cases i have to manually install the agent , also i have to enter the enrollment id manually. Is there any way to hardcode the enrollment ID in the agent and it automatically gets enrolled after the installation ,i.e., without entering the enrollment id manually or scanning ?.Also is there any way to auto install the agent without opening the apk manually ?.I just read about mobicontrol stage, is it a free app comes along with mobicontrol device license Or we have to purchase it seperately ?

Hi, I have a odd new issue on our MobiControl server related to enrollment. We use version: 13.4.0.4167 The issues is that we cannot enroll new devices as the process does not complete on the client side. We have tried both Android Enterprise (afw#mobicontrol + QR code) and Android Plus. The devices does pop up in mobicontrol, but the install is not completed on the devices - therefore they kind of errors with a re-try option and in the end you come back to the page asking for Enrollment ID. Not sure how to fix this, as it suddently occured this morning. Anyone experienced something similar and what did you do to fix this? /Dan
Hello, I have a few devices that i can enroll as a work profile but not as an enterprise device. We require the enterprise solution so we can remote control the devices if and when they need some troubleshooting. Our MobiControl server sits on xxx.xxx.53.53 and the Zebra MC93s are situated on a closed WiFi Network that gives the device xxx.xxx.55.124 Both IPs are reachable from both sides. I can ping the server from the Android device and i can ping the device from the 53 subnet. The WiFi that the scanners are has no internet connection and is an internal network. I asked the question before if anyone has come across being unable to enroll devices and i was told that there should be no issue enrolling these scanners on a network that is on our own WAN with no internet connection. We are unable to give the devices internet connection due to security policies in the warehouses we are located. Our enrollment server address that the rule generates is xxx.xxx.53.108 but when i try the server address on the enrollment part of the MobiControl app on the device, it throws a "Invalid URL" prompt. When using the Enrollment ID i just get an "Enrollment Failed" message. Does anyone have any pointers i can try?
Any one has changed SHA1 certificate to SHA2 Successful. What precaution need to be taken?? Any challenges you faced ?
Is it possible to send a script or have a package, that will create a text file on Zebra Android 8.1 device which will contain device's name %DEVICENAME% ? Reason behind is that my company is using in-house built app that has it's own launcher. So Kiosk mode from SOTI will not be used. They would like to have device name shown in their app, but how to make it happen? My idea would be to create on all devices a text file that will only have %DEVICENAME% written in it. So that they can make app pull value from that text file in order to show in our app, the device name of it's device. So, is there a way to create such text file on device automatically? Thanks
Is there a way, to close the app through soti on zebra TC-57, Oreo 8.1 devices? Since kill and kill_application don't work, is it possible in some other way to kill the app remotely? Perhaps via sendintent? Currently what I'm doing is using 2 scripts that use mxconfig. One to Disable and other to Enable the app.

HI, We are using Soti MobiControl (14.4.4.1045) to manage our M3 devices (SM10 and SM15). We install the Software over Soti (android plus). Now we try to test the new M3SL10 device. We Install the device the same way as the other M3 devices. We also use the same software profiles. The Agent connected with the Soti Server and we can manage the device in Soti. The problem we have is that the Installation of the profiles didn’t start. The status of the profiles is “Pending Install”.

Is there a way to script "clearing" the cache of an app by using Mobi. In the example, we need to clear the app cache of google Maps however the only way I know to do this presently is to go to settings, then app, then google maps and then click clear cache. This works fine for a few devices but I may need to do it for hundreds. Any suggestions?
