Is there a way, to close the app through soti on zebra TC-57, Oreo 8.1 devices? Since kill and kill_application don't work, is it possible in some other way to kill the app remotely? Perhaps via sendintent? Currently what I'm doing is using 2 scripts that use mxconfig. One to Disable and other to Enable the app.
Hi All, We have a subset of older devices that still have what we used (SOTI Pocket Controller) for remote control on our Windows Mobile devices back in the day before we started with Mobi. Now, I am trying to uninstall that application from a decent bit of devices. I've been testing a basic uninstall script but the application pops up on the device with a prompt to delete settings from the device and has yes/no answer boxes. These devices are in heavy duty vehicles, so we would like to prevent that pop-up if at all possible. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do a silent uninstall on WM for this application? I've just tried the basic uninstall script below so far: uninstall "SOTI Pocket Controller Enterprise" Thanks in advance.
Hello, I would like to create a script or package that i can send to linux devices to do updates. i am hoping to use sudo apt full-upgrade and send it from mobicontrol console.
Hello! I am trying to place configuration XML to persistent storage of our devices. Created a package, assigned it to profile. With Android Enterprise Device Owner enrollment you can end up in a situation where a number of system applications are disabled by default. There are enrollment Extras that you can include in a NFC chip or custom QR code to leave all system apps enabled but if they device has already been enrolled is appears that you have to use the enable_system_app script in order to re-enable the apps individually. Is there an alternative to individually re-enabling system apps such as using a wild card? eg: enable_system_app * enable_system_app com.zebra.*
Hi I'm file syncing a VCF file to Samsung XCover 4 devices and using sendintent -a "intent:file:///sdcard/contacts.vcf#Intent;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;type=text/x-vcard;end" It works but requires user interaction to save the file. Is there a flag that can be set in order for it to be silently loaded so we don't rely on the user to press Save? Thanks Eddie
Is there a way to see the scripts output in the logs or anywhere that is easy to get to? (Debugging)
Can any one tell writesecuresetting command to change location mode or any other command for android OS 5.1
Hi I need a command to type in a postinstall script to set Chrome as default browser. Basicly automating that the users has to choose a default browser. Feature control or something else is fine too, I just havent been able to find it. Its Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9 devices. Its Android Enterprise devices. Anyone know how to?
Looking to create device groups (a few hundred) from a list in a text file. I'm most familiar with powershell, but I've not worked with API's or security tokens before. Does anyone have a template or sample scripts that they would be willing to share?
Dear Team, can you please help to find out the script command to PIN Lock /Unlock the android device .I want to lock the device whenever user is going out of his pre defined area . thanks anil kumar
Has anyone gotten this script to work successfully as a pre-install script in a package? Why does the documentation specify 1: as the root directory? Can I reference a file name instead of a folder? Also, can "if exist" be used in other scripts than finishpkg? Sorry for my lack of sleuthing here. Working in a production environment and rebuilding packages to test a script gets time-consuming.
Hi there, I am wondering if anyone has successfully placed a SOTI script on the SOTI Lockdown utility on MobiControl 13.4. I have attempted to accomplish this but delivering a script file to the desired device then reference that file in the Lockdown config but when tapping on the created hyperlink, it either doesn't have any response or states the file is incorrect. My script kills an app then starts it when executed. I have validated the script syntax by sending it manually to the device. The Device Script Commands seems to imply this is possible based on the attached screenshot but I would like more clarification on what the file extension of the script file being delivered needs to be and which initialization method I need to use specific to scripts. (Launch://, File://, etc)
