Hello everyone, I am trying to grant WRITE_SETTINGS permission to camera app on a Samsung device enrolled as Work Managed device (AE). I am using the command afw_set_permission_grant_state com.sec.android.app.camera android.permission.WRITE_SETTINGS allow but the permission does not change. What am I doing wrong? :)
Is it possible to send a script or have a package, that will create a text file on Zebra Android 8.1 device which will contain device's name %DEVICENAME% ? Reason behind is that my company is using in-house built app that has it's own launcher. So Kiosk mode from SOTI will not be used. They would like to have device name shown in their app, but how to make it happen? My idea would be to create on all devices a text file that will only have %DEVICENAME% written in it. So that they can make app pull value from that text file in order to show in our app, the device name of it's device. So, is there a way to create such text file on device automatically? Thanks
I an looking a way to launch by script the MDM net.soti.mobicontrol.ui.MainActivity (content library. activity on mobicontrol) directly from lockdown. If it is possible, I would like to know if it would be possible to designate a specific file to be opened.
Hello everyone, We are almost closing a deal at Brazil with a new customer, this customer has SQL 2019 paid and deployed. I can use this version to this new installation? SOTI guarantees support if I use this version? Regards.
Hi, we have a few users that are enrolled through DEP. They have App Catalog pushed to their phones, in total we have about 5000 cell phones. 3 of them are unable to download apps from the catalog. They have a popup in App Catalog saying "application could not be installed at this time. Please contact your Administrator.user is connected to WiFi. We have factory reset the device, still unable to install the necessary apps. Any suggestions? Hey Folks, We are trying to setup SAML IDP using Azure ADFS, however we are getting a message saying "Invalid SAML 2.0 message. Response needs to be signed" However we have uploaded our most recent metadata file and we feel we have mapped our groups, names etc correctly and our response looks like it contains the correct information so we are a bit stumped. Can anyone shed any light on what could be causing this. Thanks David
Is there a way, to close the app through soti on zebra TC-57, Oreo 8.1 devices? Since kill and kill_application don't work, is it possible in some other way to kill the app remotely? Perhaps via sendintent? Currently what I'm doing is using 2 scripts that use mxconfig. One to Disable and other to Enable the app.
Hey there! I'm not sure that this is the right subject for here... Our software department is currently developing an app that displays specific information about our CT60 devices. We also implemented a menu item that allows the user to switch the flashlight on / off and change the screen brightness. Problem: The app behaves completely normal after the start. When I switch to the page with the configuration possibilities the app trys to check the permissions. All permissions are set. The only problem I have is the "Modify system settings" of MobiControl permission. I don't know if its only a permission problem of the Agent or if I grant permissions to the new application. Hi guys, do you know if the version 15.1.2 is running on Windows Server 2019? In the documentation only Windows Server 2016 is mentioned. I wasn't able to get a test installation on a Windows Server 2019, but I'll do that in the future. But maybe someone of you already tried that. The more important part: We encountered some problems after the upgrade from version 14.4.9 to 15.1.0. I hope you have some ideas. The first one isn't that bad, but I find it quite interesting. And maybe the second problem does have the same issue. After the upgrade, the login with the local admin account wasn't possible anymore. I loged in with my AD admin account, the local admin account wasn't locked or inactive. We fixed the issue by resetting the password, after that, login was fine. Did you encounter the same problems after an upgrade? The second issue is with the Android Enterprise bindings. After the upgrade we enrolled one device as Work Managed device with Zero Touch. We used Zebra TC56 and TC57 as testing devices. After connection the device to a WLAN, Zero Touch started. The Soti Enterprise agent got installed, but the device didn't get enrolled automatically. After opening the agent, we had to enter the Enrollment ID manually. After doing that, the device connected to our server, the device got created and is visible in the web console. The problem is the device agent is stuck in the step to get a Google Account. On the server we got the error message: Error message received from device (Managed Google Play Account Status:'EMPTY_TOKEN Got response but there was no token!') In the verbose logs there is this: But the Enterprise binding is present on the server: In our add device rules we are using the BMW Group binding. My first test was to create a new binding, the BMW MDMI and use this binding in a new add device rule to get a new Enrollment ID. So we enrolled a second device and entered the new Enrollment ID manually and the whole process was running without the binding error. Did you encounter some of these problems too after the upgrade or do you have an idea what happend there? Thanks a lot for your help and best regards Stefan
how do I disable the date and time editing function on android enterprise on soti mobicontrol v.14?
please, is someone could help me find a solution to this error message that appears on my screen when trying to enroll a laptop with Windows10 professional 1909 os/version : 18363.900 to a Soti-MC cloud instance, knowing that LDAP is already successfully configured on Soti-MC settings, as well as a modern windows rule
Hi there, I am trying to get a better understanding of how profiles and packages work. For example, I have a lockdown profile which pushes a config.xml file to the correct folder for Enterprise Browser because of one of the packages in that profile. I also have the settings manager in use via this profile. - If I move a device, say 5 times, to and from the group which applies this profile/lockdown and another group with no profile(s), what happens? Will MC remove and reinstall that config.xml file 5 times (assuming I didn't specifiy otherwise when creating the package)? - What about the settings manager app? - If I make 27 changes to a profile and a long lost device re-connects to the management server, are every single one of those changes queued or does MC try to apply whatever the latest changes are? Thanks
Hello, I know you can created Alert rules for various checks on Device status or events, however is there a way in MobiControl 14.4 to only allow devices to enroll from a specific manufacturer for instance only Zebra Devices?

Hi All, I'm having some problems with our new Samsung Tab Active2. I have installed my Agent.apk file on the devices but when I try to insert the Enrolment ID - It just comes back with Connection to Server Enrollment failed. Please retry or contact your system Admnistrator I have both tried to connect through Enrollment ID and also with the Server IP addresses and Site Name and Rule Tag, but with same issue. I can ping the devices from the server, so they can see each other, And I have talked with our Network department and there are no restrictions for our WiFi network and Servers. We are running Mobicontrol V. 13.4 The devices are only connected through WiFi and Special APN, They don't have access to anything ourside our network. Regards Matthias
