Hi! We'd like to set up a migration scenario where our Samsung devices will migrate from Android+ to Android Enterprise (Work Profile). Has anybody done this so far? What is the best practise scenario with less user interaction? Thank you!
When we restart our Devices they connect to our apn flawlessly, but arent opening a data channel. The button "connect" in the soti agent triggers an event where a data stream to our apn is opened. The 3G/HSDPA-Icon is doing a little "connect" animation, thats how i know. As a workaround i created a profile with Out-Of-Contact policy to force the agent to connect to the ds via "connect -f" but this is unfortunately not triggering the same connect event as via the button in the agent, so the data channel to the apn / provider isnt opened. Has anyone of you experienced the same issue in the weh world or maybe has a script that does exactly what the button press "connect" in the agent does? Agent is 14.43 and Device is a CN51
In the Windows Classic Kiosk you have the option to disable the kiosk mode. Where is the option to reenable it again? For my understanding its kind off senseless to disable kioskmode while the profile with the payload "kiosk" is still showing as installed. Current solution for us is to disable kiosk when needed and then you need to reinstall the whole kiosk-profile whilst the terminal is restarting 2 times. Any Ideas / Solution?
Hello all, We have mobicontrol on version v13.3.0.3454 we have a lot of device under Zebra TC75X (android 6) who are enrolled by android +. Last week, I've try to update OS android 6 to 7 with stage now and mobicontrol script. The result is ok, my OS is well updated to android 7 and the device STILL enrolled AGAIN (profile, rules, …). All seems to work fine. Nice nice nice :). Well, for to be quiet :) for a certain period of time, we think to migrate to android 8 oreo. But sorry, for me it's not clear I have some question about this. a) Is it possible to jump to android 6 to android 8 directly ? Or it's better to migrate to 7 and after migrate to 8 ? b) Is it possible to enroll an android 8 with android + ? Because, I've read that now for android 8 we must to used android entreprise !!!! c) Why it's not possible to enroll android 8 with android + ? Also, could you tell me if there are some big difference between android entreprise and android + ? All our rules will be work again with android entreprise or we need to review all ? All information is welcome. thanks for your time
Greetings, i'm struggling to get the following devices: -Honeywell CT40, 50, 60 -Zebra TC57, 77 to pair with: -Honeywell 86801 -Zebra RS6000 If the Computer devices are not enrolled they pair perfectly with a NFC bump but as soon as enrolled with SOTI they do not pair. It appears that the device does not show the prompt for pairing after they are tapped with NFC but i cannot find a way to allow this prompt message to show?
Hi, Anyone know if it's possible to add/deploy the widget for the Anyconnect app to the Soti Loackdown screen on a Android device (EDA51)? It could be nice on a Kiosk device to easily see the VPN status and have the possibility to switch it on or off :-) Br, Thomas
How do I prevent the installation of a cab file (bundled from package studio) from prompting the user to choose where to install the application to? It gives the user 3 choices to install to \Device, \Cache Disk and \Application. I would like to have it always install to \Application. How would I accomplish this? We are using motorola Model MC67NA windowsCE/mobile 6.5) mc55x mobile devices tia.
We just received some (motorola Model MC67NA windowsCE/mobile 6.5) mc55x mobile devices from zebra. They also use Soti. The agent installs fine after uninstalling their agent through Remove Programs and deleting leftover files in the \Application folder. The issue is that my agent cannot connect to our deploy server. I can open the Soti MobiControl | Menu | Configuration | Servers | Select server | Test ...says cannot send data to server. I don't have a screenshot yet. My assumption is that another companies agent is interfering..??... I do have other scanners that the agent works fine with. Any ideas? Thoughts?
Hi, there is a way on Android Enterprise in kiosk mode to block statusbar expansion, but keep notification icons still in statusbar or expand statusbar without settings icons (Marked in red)? Thanks Thomas
Hey guys I occasionally need to apply shared preferences to some android apps, and it would be great to do it via script. I have some set (see link here) and tried to update them with a script command: writeprivateprofstring <myAppName> BaseURI http://api.myAppDomain.com:8044/Api Essentially I am trying to keep 100 people from having to go in and adjust settings as the API endpoint URL has changed. This does not seem to touch those settings. Has anyone done it?
We are installing HCL Verse (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lotus.sync.traveler&hl=de) on Android 9 devices using the managed Play Store. After the app is configured and opened, the following message appears: "This action is disabled by MobiControl" I can confirm the message and the App works, but its annoying, because the message appears each time the app is opened. How can I find out which action is disabled and enable it?
I'm having trouble enrolling device into Windows Modern via bulk certificate enrollment. I have successfully created my client and root certificates and applied them to the Windows provisioning package with Windows Configuration Designer. From here I was able to successfully join a freshly imaged device to the Windows Modern environment. The issue I'm facing is enrolling a device that I already have enrolled in Windows Classic. When I install the provisioning package the device is created in my target folder for Windows Modern displaying as Offline and the original Windows Classic device remains and stays online as if nothing changed. So now I have 2 of the same devices showing, where I would think the Windows Modern Provisioning would overwrite the Windows Classic and retain the same device name.
Hey there, I am trying to move some devices to a new install of Mobicontrol on a different server. I have a new SSL cert in place and have had some success enrolling new Android+ devices to it. I had some keep giving me "Connection to server failed, an error occurred during the process". I was able to get some devices to work moving between servers if I choose the remove certificates when unenrolling. However, a customer site cannot re-enroll their devices without this error. I have a ticket open but wanted to see if others were able to freely move devices around servers as I think should be allowed. I wonder if it is a certificate issue? Also, it seems like if I enroll with one server I am locked in, and try to enroll elsewhere and get this error. Now I cannot enroll devices from the new server back to the old: 2019-10-29 14:06:59,714 (0x00001da8) [INFO] MessageQueue::<AddWorkerThread>b__49_0() [328] New worker started2019-10-29 14:07:10,633 (0x000012f8) [INFO] MessageProtocolHandler::<Start>b__33_0() [ 31] PulseChecker enter: Send: False, Check: True, Memory: 120382192, ThreadPool: 32767, 999, Queue: 0, Workers: 202019-10-29 14:07:10,633 (0x000012f8) [INFO] MessageProtocolHandler::<Start>b__33_0() [ 31] PulseChecker exit: Total: 28, Connected: 4, Dropped: 0, Retried: 0, finished in 0 ms2019-10-29 14:07:26,998 (0x00000e8c) [INFO] Client::Accept() < 75> Comm.Client.2042: Accepted a new connection from [::ffff:173.162.166.161]:26610.2019-10-29 14:07:27,154 (0x00002b94) [INFO] <OnReceived>d__44::MoveNext() <210> Comm.Client.2042: Client [::ffff:173.162.166.161]:26610 authenticated. I am trying to get location services set up on my TC70x devices. They are running Android 8.1.0 with Android Enterprise. I have set Location Accuracy to Battery Saver in Feature Control. After I deployed this to my test devices I got this pop-up: On one device I clicked "Agree" and the location tab SOTI was able to immediately locate the device. On another device I did not click anything, and later clicked Disagree and for both SOTI was unable to locate the device. Is there a way for me to turn on this setting remotely with a script or something? I cannot rely on users to click Agree on all the devices. Thank you!
Is there any guidance on which devices agents are supported on which server versions? Or, are the agents built with backwards compatibility with older server versions? I couldn't really finding anything in the release notes. I have some new Android 9.0 devices coming in and I want to put an agent on there that supports that OS version but also wanted to make sure the device agent is supported against my server version, 13.4.0.4167. For example, I want to ensure the latest Android OEM specific agent for Samsung is supported on my server version. Thanks
