Hello, how exactly would you realise somewhat of version control in android enterprise for things like agent updates and app updates (public). And how exactly is the agent update and app update handled by the managed google play store? What are the criteria that must be met in order of the play store to update the app / agent. ( i know you can manage app updates ) But that arent many options to choose from, we´d like to somewhat test new app and agent updates before they are silently pushed and installed on all the ae devices. What is your approach to this and what am i maybe missing? Thanks in advance. Kind regards John
Hi, Can anyone advise how I get the page to display correctly AND with no address bar Chrome v76.0.3809.132 MobiControl v14.3.4.1087 Hardware Honeywell Android 8.1.0, build 86.00.13-(0108) Using https://myurl#Intent;scheme=http;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=com.android.chrome/ I get no address bar BUT the page has zoomed in: So, I tried browsers://myurl#Intent;scheme=http;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=com.android.chrome/ I now get the address bar, but the page displays as I want it to. Tried using intent:https://myurl#Intent;scheme=http;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=com.android.chrome/ out of curiosity, but the button on the kiosk page doesn’t do anything when pressed. When running Enterprise Browser in lockdown mode, is there a way to display the blue square when the function key is pressed. We need a way for the operators to know if the function key is active.
I am using Soti Surf and have two fields of data. I insert a tab after the first data string and doing so clears any data in the second field. Is there a way of tabing to the second field and not erase the data in the field being tabbed to
When using StageNow xml Config scripts in packages I sometimes get this error:Script command is not supported by device (xmlconfig) Sometimes I don't get this error and it processes correctly. Most of the time when I get the error the changes still go into effect so the XMLCONFIG must be processed. Other times it does not and I have to remove and re-add the package to get the StageNow profile to take. Is there a reason this is happening? It works most of the time, but there is no good way for me to know when it doesn't work and I get devices out in the field that are not fully setup. My package has a simple TimeZone (Clock) setting from StageNow, and the script command is "mxconfig /sdcard/TimeZone_Eastern.xml". The devices are Zebra TC70X and they are running Agent version 13.7.0.1031 on the devices.
Hello all, we used mobicontrol on version v13.3.3454 we have a lot of zebra tc75 on android 6 and 7 the client is 13.3.2 build 1014 we used also soti surf on version ->v14.2 with Soti surf we have one link who opens https web site All works fine, just one thing one of my colleague has remak when we do a remote connection on a device and click on soti surf all html page is blank ... Is it normal or something has forget... I'm sure all works because before install on mass soti surf i have checked all links thanks for sharing your knowledge
Hi, I have seen simliar posts to mine but so far I'm having issues understanding the exact process needed to transition from Android 7.1 and Android Plus to Android Enterprise management. Our current management system is comprised of StageNow for our TC56 devices. We just scan the barcode using StageNow which installs and configures the agent for our MobiControl server. From my understanding, we need to rebuild our StageNow process to sideload apps on the devices before it completes an initial setup? As well as re-create our SOTI profiles and organization to include Android Enterprise? Essentially I'm looking for some sort of documentation or clear-cut guide on how to migrate these processes from 7.1 to 8. Is there anything like this? Or even some steps that others have done it successfully?
When I'm generating a "Device Connectivity Activity" report, I can select the data from "last week". In the report the last week start at Sunday 12:00 AM until Saturday 11.59 PM. I want to generate automatically reports of the last week, beginning at Monday 12:00 am until Sunday 11:59 pm (Monday 00:00 - Sunday 23:59). Can I configure the "last week" somehow? Regards, Mark
Hi,We are in charge of preparing equipment for one of our customers. The Soti console is a "On Premise" version. Our configuration service therefore don't have access to the customer's network during preparation. We deliver the devices directly to the end user and we would like the device to be delivered with the kiosk or lockdown. Can we load the kiosk onto a device by copying files without establishing a communication with the console?Thx for you help.

I want to pair BT headset though NFC pad on terminals with a kiosk lockdown and the 3 notifications - Confirmation of pairing on terminal - Validation of association - access to calls history and contacts aren't displayed Is there a way to permit theses notifications to be display or that bluetooth pairing is done without confirmation ? Hello Everybody, We are running our MobiControl on a version14, and want to upgrade. This is currently not possible as we are on an old server and old ms sql database version. So what i need to do is move everything to a new server, Management, Deploy and Database. So my question is, how do i do this ? I have asked support, but they have no documentation nor provide support for this specific scenario. What i have tried. - Setup new server, install new ms sql database on the same server. - Backed up the database and moved to the new server. - Installed latest MobiControl Version software - Ran the "MobiControl Administration Utility" and changed the server name where i could see it needed. - - Tested all in "MobiControl Administration Utility" and everything is green. Now with in the newly install MobiControl the interface looks okay, BUT in the global settings it still shows the old deployment server and management server in the list. hey everyone, ever since upgrading our SOTI to a newer version, the device profiles that we assign to our tablets will not load unless i revoke it and reinstall it. it seems the profile will get about halfway installed and then it sits there and takes a while. i have also noticed that the agent will not stay connected. the devices we are using are Samsung Tab A's with verizon and ATT
