iOS Profile - Stuck "Pending Installation"

We are currenty testing deploying iOS Applications to our managed iOS devices within MobiControl. We are not enrolled in the Apple DEP program and our iOS devices are enrolled into MobiControl unsupervised. We therefore assign a profile to our iOS devices with a default web clip to access the Application Catalog. Any applications can then be downloaded and installed from there via the relevant Application Catalog Rule. We have enrolled two test devices for this scenario, an iPhone and an iPad. On the iPhone, we successfully deployed a Profile containing the App Catalog web clip and was able to install applications from there. However, on the iPad, even though the same Profile is assigned to this device, the profile remains at "Pending Installation" status and will not install the default App Catalog web clip from this Profile. Has anyone had this issue before where iOS profiles are stuck at "Pending Installation" status? Are there any agent or server side logs I can view to see why this profile is not installing?

Migrating SOTI MobiControl to Different Host/IP Solved

Hello, I've seen a few threads regarding this over the past few years but nothing very recent. Basically, we need to move our SOTI Mobicontrol installation from an aging server to a newer VM. We are currently running Version: 14.1.8.1064. We primarily use Android+ devices but also some Windows Desktop Classic devices. From documentation I've found online, I need to add in our new server as a secondary deployment server to SOTI's administration settings, which I've done. Once this propagates to our devices, we can switch to the new installation of SOTI. Is this correct, and am I missing any steps? Thank you!

SOTI MC 13.4.0.4822 Zebra TC77HL - Agent Version 13.7.3 Build 1045 Android Updated to Android 8.1.0 When I start the Settingsmanager on the TC77 Device I receive following Message: "The application has not been configured yet. Please try again later or contact yout IT Administrator for further information." On the SOTI.NET WebSite there is a description for "Configuring the Settings Manager App Using an XML Configuration File" With the Shell on the device I chage to the folder 1:\data\data\net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork\app_exposed\ now I have to use a Script to apply the configuration "Use the following script command to apply the Settings Manager configurations to the device: sendinfo net.soti.settingsmanager.RECEIVE_COMMAND import_config </CONFIG_FILE_NAME> . " My Settingsmanager.xml is on %sdcard% What is the correct command? What is the correct Path. Because I created a FILE Sync Rule to push the XML in the folder. 1:\data\data\net.soti.mobicontrol.androidwork\app_exposed\ But still not working.

    Device Kiosk Lockdown Not Secure

One of my supervisors in the field has reported that workers are getting past the lockdown kiosk by constantly hitting the recent apps button on the device. He claims that they have been able to get into areas that allow them to make phone calls and send text messages.  I have been able to duplication the problem partially. When "pounding recent apps button" I have gotten an app that was in the background to stay in the foreground. While I am still skeptical about the functions they have reported getting into, I am still researching.  If the Kiosk can be bypassed this easily, then it is not much good. Thoughts? Server: 14.1.2.1937 Agent 13.6.0.1662 Device: Zebra TC77 Management Method: AEDO

Why don't Device Attribute values show in the Device Grid unless the device does a Check-in?

If Attributes are assigned as opposed retrieved from from the devie, how come does the device have to check-in in order for the attribute values to show up in the Device Grid? I have a number of "offline" devices that I want to assign attributes to and then be able to report off of those attributes. The Attribute property is visible when I look at the device level but the value in the grid of devices is "unknown". Devices: Android Enterprise Server Version 14.1.2 Agent: 13.6.0.1662

The issue at present is the app App Catalog opens in Safari and the link doesn't work. The VPP apps that I have setup as Mandatory does install correctly, both MobiControl and Waze app were installed automatically. The preview shows up fine but the App Catalog doesn't work. please see below. thanks
